We have chosen to elope, just the two of us, in June on Orcas Island, one of the San Juan Islands here in the PNW. Our Happily Ever After Party is an opportunity to celebrate with our friends and family after we get married. We hope to see you there!
We met in grad school at the University of Washington in June 2021. Though we introduced ourselves at orientation, it took a few months to really connect. In September, I sat next to Eric in class for the first time, we started talking, and basically never stopped. We developed a friendship, spending so much time together in class, in study groups, and at our weekly grad school happy hours. We really got to know each other before we started dating and we had feelings for each other for a while before Eric mustered up the courage to make a move in January. We decided to keep our relationship private at first so we could stay professional within our master's cohort and to make sure we were serious about each other before involving our families. When graduation arrived in June 2022, I made the spontaneous decision to introduce Eric to my parents (who loved him upon first meeting), and we shared the news of our relationship with the rest of our grad school friends (who already had their suspicions but were happy nonetheless). We moved in together in March 2023 and got engaged and bought our house a year later. We've been remodeling our home, getting to know our new neighborhood of Maple Leaf, and enjoying life as fiancés ever since.

The light rail is a very budget-friendly and convenient option to get directly from the airport all the way up to North Seattle. The schedules are consistent, and you can buy tickets beforehand and access them from your phone.
Travel Note
We recommend using Airbnb for your accommodations. The venue is in the small neighborhood of Madrona, so hotels are limited. The following neighborhoods would be excellent choices: 1. Capitol Hill: Very close to the reception location, with tons of restaurants and bars, a lively atmosphere, and a Link light rail stop for convenient public transit. 2. Fremont: Located between our reception location and morning after sendoff. It has the best views of the city from Gas Works Park, as well as some other Seattle landmarks. 3. Green Lake: very close to morning after sendoff and very relaxing. We lived within walking distance to the lake for 3 years and adore the area. Feel free to reach out to Eric (651) 387-5748 or Teagan (626) 808-3784 with any questions!
The 2.8 mile path around the lake makes for a lovely Seattle stroll. There are even some bustling pickleball courts for those dedicated to their play. If water sports are more your speed, there are boat rentals on the east side, perfect on a sunny September day.
Oliver's Twist is one of our favorite cocktail bars, but there are so many great spots in this very walkable area. There is Pie Bar, Nutty Squirrel Gelato and so many more places that we've tried and loved.
The best views of the city and Lake Union, and close to one of our favorite breweries (Fremont Brewing's Urban Beer Garden) and one of our favorite bakeries (Lazy Cow). This park is a perfect add on to any adventure in Fremont, and better than the famous Troll.
There may be 200 breweries in Seattle, but most are in Ballard. One of our favorites is Urban Family and it’s within blocks of about 5 other great choices and tons of food truck options.
One of the oldest farmers markets in the country. Very busy but iconic! There are tons of fun city tours or food tours all starting from this location.
If you want to walk around and watch some impressive boat traffic, the locks can't be beat! Plus, you may be able to witness the last few days of the salmon run at the fish ladder. Spend some extra time walking around the gardens in that area before heading to the breweries nearby.
The largest city park in Seattle. Gorgeous views of and walks along the Puget Sound. Look out and see the Olympic and Cascade mountain ranges from the lighthouse.
Our favorite day trip is to walk onto the ferry (from downtown Seattle) and travel over to Bainbridge Island. There are a number of little shops, coffee, wine and restaurants. Seattle is known for its ferries, keep your eyes out for whales in the Sound.
Wine tasting is a great activity in Seattle regardless of the weather! We recommend Hollywood area in Woodinville with dozens of tasting rooms and ample parking. If you want to wine taste in the city, check out SODO district just a few blocks from the light rail station.
A moderate and low elevation hike close to Seattle with views of Mt. Rainier to the left and the city to the right! Look at trail maps and expand your hike however you want.
This hike will burn your legs up, but it’s one of the famous views near Seattle. Try to get there early due to a busy trailhead.
This is an iconic lake and mountain view popular near Seattle. Fairly steep, but beautiful and has some shoreline to relax after your workout.
August 17, 2025.
It's a post-elopement celebration with friends and family! It allows us to have the best of both worlds: an intimate wedding day just for the two of us, and a joyful celebration with our loved ones. And no, we didn't come up with this adorably cheeky name ourselves.
When you RSVP on our website and type in your name, you will see if your invitation includes a guest. Please let us know if you encounter any issues!
In September, the average temperature range in Seattle is between 53 and 70 degrees. The venue is outdoors.
There is street parking in the neighborhood of our reception venue. We recommend taking a Lyft or Uber, especially if you plan on indulging in our open bar!
We love your kids, but our reception will be a 21+ event. Please reach out if you have any concerns or if we can help in any way!
Please don't hesitate to reach out to Teagan (626) 808-3784 or Eric (651) 387-5748 with any further questions or concerns.
Please enter the first and last name of one member of your party below.
If you're responding for you and a guest (or your family), you'll be able to RSVP for your entire group on the next page.
