How we met
Technically the first time we met was in the dressing room at Magic Kingdom in December 2022. Eric came looking for his sister in the girl's dressing room and she had not arrived yet. Instead, Eric in passing met Emily for a brief moment. We officially met for the first time when Emily was in rehearsals for Mickey's Magical Friendship Faire in January 2023. Eric still laughs about Emily losing her voice at overnights and couldn't speak to him.
First "Unofficial" Date
The first time we went on a "date" was on July 14th, 2023. Eric asked Emily to attend Drawn to Life to watch his brother-in-law. The problem was, Eric never fully proclaimed it was a date. Eventually, interest was stated and intentions were discussed. After ice cream and an interrogation, Emily discerned that the timing was not right.
First "Official" Date
Towards the end of the year, Eric asked Emily for a second chance. Emily asked for some time to think and pray about it. Finally on New Year's Day, 2024, Emily asked Eric out for ice cream to give Eric that second chance. Needless to say, it's been going strong ever since! So the first "official" date was on January 9th, 2024. We almost didn't go out this day due to a crazy Florida storm. But as all crazy Floridians, we braved it and had a lovely meal at New York Beer Project, followed by delectable Jeremiah's Italian Ice.
The Engagement
Eric knows the way to Emily's heart is steak, ice cream, gifts, and quality time. Eric planned to accommodate all these and more, jam packed into one day. There was a scavenger hunt with jewelry at the end. Ice cream followed by an outing to Disney Springs with friends. We then journeyed to our special spot where the special question would be asked. So, on October 14th, we were officially engaged and celebrated with a nice meaty steak!

Cocktail or Garden Attire: Cocktail dresses, floral prints, dressy jumpsuits, suits, or jackets and slacks.
The ceremony will be at the Knowles Memorial Chapel and start promptly at 1:00 p.m. Please be sure to allow yourself 10-15 minutes of walking time from the parking lot to adequately arrive for seating.
Reception
1:45 pm - 6:00 pm

The reception will be at Rice Family Pavilion which is a 2-3 minute walk from the chapel. There will be a cocktail hour with refreshments followed by a buffet dinner. Please let us know if you request a vegetarian, vegan, kids meal, meat, or N/A.

Parking is very limited at the Rollins College area. You can use the college's Truist Parking Garage, (Lyman and Park Avenue). This garage is a seven minute walk to the chapel and reception hall. 131 E Comstock Ave Winter Park, FL 32789

Fun memory: I’ll be forever thankful for not just our sister ship… but also our friendship. I knew we’d be friends when my older brother was babysitting me and wouldn’t let me have ice cream. I cried in my room because I was so upset. That’s when Emily came in and snuck me an ice cream sandwich and we sat and chatted for the rest of the night.

Fun Memory: Our first double date! We coordinated wearing matching Hawaiian T Shirts for a steak dinner and rollerblading. When we showed up to the roller rink, we quickly found out it was actually R&B themed 😅 Not only did we look silly falling down (mostly the boys) but we did not match the vibe 😂
