We met at the age of 15. His brother, John David, was at the house playing with my nephews and his brother, Dakota, came over to get him. I sat there talking to Dakota for a while. Then he mention he had an older brother that was looking for a girlfriend, so I told him to tell his brother to come visit. I didn't think anything of it. We were just kids. Well Tj, as i was introduced to him, came over to meet me then a few days later he asked me to be his girlfriend. Then we just fell in love. 2 years later I wanted to see what else was out there so we broke up. During the years we were broken up we still stayed in contact and when either of us was single we would see each other but not get back together. We knew when we was kids we were meant to be together. Well in 2015 I decided I didn't want to search around anymore the love of my life never left my side, he was always there waiting on me. So we decided to get back together. My high school sweetheart was the love of my life and the man I want to spend the rest of my life with. We had a little girl, Nevaeh, in 2016, then our little boy, Toby III, in 2020. Now we are officially getting married September 18, 2021. I love our little family no matter how untraditional it is. I'm officially going to have the same last name as my best friend and our 2 kids.
Let me start off saying our relationship isn't like any others. Our decision making isn't normal, but it is what makes our relationship unique. Well here we go, the proposal. We were hanging out with some of my family talking, drinking, and having a great time. I randomly asked Tj when are we getting married. His reply was "If you eat that chip, I will marry you." For context he was talking about me doing the one chip challenge of the hottest chip. I then asked him if he was serious and he told me "yes, if you eat the chip I will marry you." So I got up and went and went to get the chip. As I'm opening the chip and getting ready to eat it, I asked him multiple times "Are you sure? You know I'm about to eat this chip and then I'm gonna start wedding planning. Are you sure?" He kept saying yes. So I ate the hottest chip and now were getting married. He did ask my dad if he can marry me after the fact. But this is our perfect proposal and I wouldn't want it any other way.
