This 215 foot plunge waterfall is right across the street from our venue. You can walk the lower trail to the base of the waterfall into the gorge with steep cliffs for and out and back hike that is little under 2 miles roundtrip. You can also drive to the upper parking area, and get a birds eye view from the top only a few feet from the parking lot.
This Park has a swimming hole steps from the parking lot at the base of it's largest waterfall. For those that can hike we highly recommend taking the gorge trail up past it's many other smaller waterfalls with perfectly carved blue pools and beautiful rock formations.
This is the swimming hole at Robert H. Treman State Park. It's an easy walk from the parking lot and great a great place to take a dip infront of a waterfall with lifeguards, picnic tables, grills, bathrooms, and even diving boards to jump from.
This is the upper entrance of the park, with amazing rewards for not much effort. From the parking lot you can visit the Old Mill and waterfall directly behind it. Continue on the trail into the upper gorge to enter a canyon of steep cliff walls, beautiful stone work path, and bridge passing by small waterfalls until you reach the tallest of the park Lucifer Falls. Those who are willing to do a little more work can continue down to the bottom of the falls, and back up around via the rim trail.
This is a must see in the area. A special place that seems to be right out of a fantasy film, it is surreal and an incredibly beautiful gem. The gorge trail is an amazing engineering marvel with stone pathways, bridges, and tunnels that transport you through this fairytale location. There are few ways to see the gorge trail. All start by parking at the main entrance at the bottom of the gorge. The first and easiest option is to purchase a shuttle bus ticket to take you to the top of the park, and walk down the trail about a mile back to your car. Second is to walk up the trail to the top, and take the shuttle back to the lower parking lot. Third option is to do a loop hike by walking up the gorge trail to the top, and taking the rim trail back down to the lower parking lot.
This is a 35ft plunging waterfall that you can walk behind. Located on the other side of the lake, a little further north from the Emilie Jonas waterfall. The park has a pavilion and playground overlooking the falls. Locals swim here often, an we have heard it's a good spot for fishing too.
This waterfall is on the other side of Cayuga lake. Easy walk downhill from the parking lot to the creek, and upstream walk to get to waterfall. In low water you will walk next to the creek, and in high water you might have to get your feet wet to see this one.
This brewery was the first Finger lakes brewery we ever visited. Located right by both Robert H Treman and Buttermilk falls, so it's a great place to grab a cold one and some food after hiking. The brewery has a beautiful beer garden overlooking the rolling hills, with plenty firepits, boards to play, and seating areas to enjoy the view. We highly recommend trying their apricot wheat beer.
Newly opened lakeview brewery, a 18 minutes north from our venue. They have a location as well in the heart of town but, we always prefer outdoor spaces, sweet views, and boards to play. Food is also available at this brewery including wood fired pizza.
This cidery is a beautiful working farm to visit only 9 minutes north from our venue. They offer dry ciders, sweet ciders, sparkling wines, cocktails, and food sourced from their farm as well as other local sustainable organic certified farms in the area. The farm has U-pick fields where you can grab fresh strawberries, peaches, apples, and flowers. Indoor and outdoor seating with views and boards to play here too.
