Travis and Rachel first met in middle school as a couple of dorky 12 year olds, fashioning a roller backpack, wire-framed glasses, a Girl Scout vest, and a high ponytail. They went in and out of friend circles together until becoming each other’s best friends in late high school and early college. A few crushes were had at inconvenient times until they made it official on 8/8/2013 at the start of sophomore year in college. They started living together a year later in San Francisco and spent the next 6 years there, wrapping up undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. They adopted Azalea in 2020 and moved back to the East Bay. In 2024, Travis and Rachel took their first packaging trip together where they had planned to propose to each other in the Tahoe National Forest. They have overcome challenges and losses, and experienced successes and triumphs together. They are thrilled to have their closest family and friends be witness to their wedding on their 13th anniversary and celebrate with them the life they’ve lived together so far and the life they have yet to experience.

Officiant
Mark is Travis’ dad’s younger brother and is joining us from Oregon. We are lucky to share an anniversary with him and his wife Heidi who were married on 8/8/1992!
Maid of Honor
Natalie is Rachel’s younger sister and the person who everyone thought was her twin growing up. Natalie is a true caregiver, the best jokester, and an amazing sister.
Best Man
Henry was Travis’ roommate Sophomore year of college and should receive most of the credit for keeping Travis alive that year. He is a truly thoughtful and loving friend!
We'll be celebrating mostly outside so outfits that layer well and shoes that can be worn on grass.
We'll have about 40 friends and family who we share our lives with will be in attendance. If you haven't met them before, you've at least heard of them. We hope our community will get to meet each other and see why we keep y'all around!
We're celebrating in a residential neighborhood so there will be street parking. We recommend carpooling or taking a ride-share if you are planning on drinking.
We'll have limited space and want to make sure we are celebrating with our closest people. We've accounted for everyone we specifically have invited so please check your invitation for more details!
