Then I went on the app again the following morning and to my surprise, she replied. Our conversation flowed effortlessly from there, and before I knew it, we were chatting for hours and this would continue for days to come. During one of our conversations, I told her that something was missing in one of her pictures and immediately she asked "Which of my pictures and what was missing". I took a screenshot of the picture and sent it to her and I told her that an " engagement ring was missing" and then she smiled. As our conversation continued, I found myself feeling more and more at ease and something within me told me that it was my job to complete what was missing in the picture, and it was then I knew that I had stumbled upon a treasure that would warm my heart forever. I told her that " I am ready to complete what was missing in the picture" and our deep conversation continued. Our first date was not a nervous affair and as soon as we hugged each other, I knew that I was in trouble. I was falling for her, hard and fast, and I knew in that instant that I wanted to spend the rest of my life getting to know her. Meeting Normae on that dating app was one of the best things that has ever happened to me. She has taught me the true meaning of love, patience, and kindness. I told myself that I would never go back on another dating site because it never yielded results. But one Saturday evening lying across my bed, I ventured out into the world of online dating for what I told myself would be the very last time. I created an account on this site which I saw several times on social media, it showed up so many times it was becoming an eye sore, but there was a pull to see what it's about. Within an hour I matched with Emmanuel and the conversations began and they never stopped. Emmanuel showed up and he wasted no time in making his intentions known, very quickly I got to realize that I could rest easy with him because he was consistent from day one and with that he slowly pulled back what many might describe as my very hard shell. One day I asked him what made him so sure about me and why he would do this without even knowing if I was crazy and he said "I am driving the bus". I said ok, but who just jumps into a bus and starts driving without even knowing if the bus has mechanical issues & trust me this bus got problems, he quickly replied again, "I am driving the bus and even if there are issues with the bus, I will get off and try to fix the issues and continue on my way but I will never stop driving the bus." This was a turning point for me because it showed just how intentional he was about me. My God is intentional about me so it's not surprising that he sent me a man that is also intentional about me. Of course I could go on and go about our love story but it is still being written. All I can say is I am just amazed at how God shows up for me and I am grateful for his love.
