How It All Started

How It All Began… If there's one word to describe how it all started, it's Friendship. There were no expectations, no romantic intentions. We were just two friends committed to God’s work, not knowing ABBA had a plan far greater than ours. When we had no intention, He had every intention. And for that, we are deeply grateful. Gloria: Emmanuel and I became friends in 2015. We would gist, share revelations, pray, go on evangelism, and carry out assignments from God with other friends, all with pure intentions. From 2015 to 2019, there were no feelings. But looking back, I realize the many “yeses” I said from 2019 were steps into a divine setup. He’d often say, “We’ll work this work for life”, not knowing it wasn’t just about ministry, it was about life together. Emmanuel: Gloria said it all. We were simply friends. I had no clue she’d be my wife; there were even different “pairings” in my mind back then, and she wasn’t one of them! But ABBA knew. Our long talks were always centered on obeying God and advancing His Kingdom with sincerity. Gloria: During a women’s meeting Emmanuel organized, which I helped plan and set up, inviting converts, and more, something shifted in me. During worship, I broke down and surrendered everything: my ambitions, my plans to leave Nigeria, and even a relationship I was trying to convert into God's plan. That night, I said, “Lord, just have Your way in my life.” Months later… Emmanuel asked the question (lol). Emmanuel: That same week was a turning point for me, too. While hosting Esther's Formation meeting, God was working on me. I broke free from my own relationship, fully surrendered, and started sensing Gloria could be the one. I resisted at first, asking God to confirm. That night, He gave me a dream, which never really happened. I knew He had spoken. Gloria: Funny thing that same night, I had a dream too. And I saw that Emmanuel would be my husband. When we met the next day and shared our dreams, we laughed. But I wasn’t ready emotionally. I kept saying no, yet God kept confirming His word with signs, and my conviction grew stronger. Emmanuel: We officially began courting on September 13, 2019. Since then, it’s been growth after growth spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and financially. From rural missions to school outreaches, conferences for women and single mothers, and more, we’ve grown in purpose and love. Together: This new chapter is simply a continuation of our obedience to God. Our union is for His glory to reflect Christ, to love deeply, to grow intentionally, and above all, to advance God's Kingdom agenda. And at the end of it all, we long to hear: “Well done, good and faithful servants.”

While we’d love for everyone to attend and celebrate with us, we’ve planned for a limited number of guests. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate extra guests, as we don’t want anyone to be treated any less due to space constraints. We hope you understand.
