Lucas proposed to Emma at one of the very first places they started to fall in love over five years ago. Keep reading below for more on their love story.
Lucas took Emma and his two dogs, Leroy and Lulu, on a hike and picnic the morning before the proposal. Later that day, Emma was told to get ready for a "nice dinner" with some of her family that was in town. Emma's mom told her they were meeting at her grandparent's house, but instead of walking to the house Lucas brought her down to the water with a gorgeous surprise that changed her life forever. Emma's grandparents and mother live on this beautiful quarry, which also happens to be the place they first started getting to know each other in the summer of 2018. After Emma said "Obviously, YES!" she was yet again surprised with an engagement party down by the river with all of their closest friends and family.
Emma and Lucas knew of each other for several years and their paths crossed many times. However, they never got the chance to talk much until the summer of 2018. After a few group activities, such as quarry days, soccer matches, Uno games, movie nights, 100% Poly concerts, and boat outings on the lake, Lucas finally worked up the nerve to ask Emma out on an official date: Bowling. Despite this not being her favorite activity in the world (especially since Lucas is WAY better and they both have a competitive side), it was still the best date Emma had ever been on. Fast forward to December 19th, Lucas planned a thoughtful date of dinner, ice skating, and watching the movie "It's a Wonderful Life." That night after the movie, Lucas officially asked Emma to be his girlfriend, which led to the beginning of their "Wonderful Life" together forever.

This hotel is located less than 6 miles (~12 minute drive) from the reception venue! For your convenience, the couple has reserved a block of rooms under ‘Eichenberger Wedding’ or unique code 905. Please reserve your rooms by 7/25/2024. Please contact Lucas or Emma if you have any issues using the link or have any questions at all!
We have invited our closest family and friends to join us in celebrating our marriage! Due to our large families and limited seating, we are only able to accommodate children that are within the family and listed on your RSVP form. We kindly ask that your RSVP for each part of the day accurately reflects the full number of your group.
We kindly ask that our guests dress in formal or cocktail attire. We want you to feel and dress your best! The only part of the day outdoors will be the cocktail hour on the shaded patio, so please dress accordingly. Our colors are dusty blue, gold, tan, and various shades of light blue. Please refrain from wearing jeans and traditional colors reserved for the bride (white, cream, or ivory).
The ceremony will take place at St. Mary's Catholic Church in downtown New Albany. The cocktail hour and reception will be held at The Woods at Cedar Springs, which is about 35 minutes away from the church. Please note that the start time for the cocktail hour on the 'Schedule' page is an estimate, and you are welcome to head straight to the cocktail hour following the ceremony! We hope you will take advantage of this time for hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, beautiful scenery, and socializing. See the 'Schedule' page for more details about the itinerary for our wedding day.
There will be a complimentary cocktail hour before the reception begins. Our reception will include a buffet-style meal, as well as an open bar for our 21+ guests.
If you are looking to plan childcare or travel details, the reception will conclude at 9:30pm with a sparkler send-off outside the venue.
Parking is available at the church and reception venue, but we do encourage carpooling. Cars can be left at the reception venue over night, as long as they are picked up the next day before noon.
