(Keep scrolling for wedding details and logistics below!) We met in 2010 at Rincon Valley Charter School in Santa Rosa (go Firebirds!) at the ages of 11 (Emma) and 12 (Keven). Keven was the nerdy class clown, and Emma was the shy artsy girl with a HUGE crush. Eventually we started dating in March 2011. We had a very sweet relationship, loved each other as best as kids can, and had our first kiss together. Today, Emma still has her *embarrassing yet nostalgic* middle school journal documenting the events, from the beginning of her crush on Keven to the day we went our separate ways about 4 months later. We had broken up and went to different high schools. Years go by, and we hadn't talked at all. One day in January 2018, Keven reached out to Emma over Facebook in an effort to reconnect with people from his past. (Plus, it didn't hurt that he thought she had grown into quite the pretty lady!) We reconnected over some coffee soon after and became good friends. It was not a good time for a relationship then, but a strong friendship brewed instead. Emma left to go to UC Santa Cruz for college later in September that year. One day, Keven comes to visit, you know, just "as friends," but a day of visiting, great conversations, drinks and a dance later, and we were falling for each other. Shortly after that visit, our romance was rekindled. We started dating officially in November 2018 in a long-distance relationship while Emma finished college. Long-distance ended when the COVID-19 Pandemic began, and Emma needed to move out of the college apartments and back to Santa Rosa. We moved in together in 2020 and have been inseparable ever since. In 2021 we got our own apartment and then adopted our two *very spoiled* kittens, Eclipse and Princess Tiabeanie. We couldn't have made a better life together. In January 2023, Keven proposed, with flowers and candles lining every square inch of our apartment! (Surprise, she said yes!) This wedding has certainly been a long time coming! 14 years ago, we never would have guessed that this is where we would end up, no matter how many times Emma had daydreamed and wrote "Emma Koell" in her middle school journal... ;) We are so excited for you to join us on our special day! Please note, there are TWO DIFFERENT LOCATIONS for the Ceremony and Reception. Parking is limited to 20 cars at the Ceremony site, Riverfront Regional Park, but we are estimating our guest list to 85 attendees. This will put a strain on parking availability. Parking will be first-come, first-serve. The park remains open to the public, with one area reserved for our ceremony. If you plan to attend the ceremony, PLEASE take an Uber or coordinate carpooling with others and try to fill every seat in your vehicle. We suggest meeting for carpools at Ellington Hall (reception location) before 9am, then driving together to the ceremony location to arrive by 9:30 am. We will do our best to help coordinate guest carpool plans in advance. If you have a car with some extra seats and want to offer your driving services to our other guests, please let us know. If you have one or two people in your party, we hope you will consider riding with a carpool provider. We appreciate your understanding!

One of our favorite restaurants for a special night out! Southern style food. We celebrated here immediately after Keven proposed!
The quaint town of Duncan Mills is much more than it seems. Easily missed, you will pass it in the blink of an eye on a beautiful drive through the redwoods along the Russian River. But, if you ask the wedding couple about Duncan Mills, we’d call it “The Metropolis of the World”. Delicious Egg Benedicts at the Cape Fear Cafe, and cute shops to explore afterwards!
