They were both living at the Colony Apartments while attending BYU. Their roommates often spent time together, and they frequently found themselves at each other’s apartments.

Chance took Emma on an ice cream picnic date. They went to WinCo, chose an assortment of toppings and a fun ice cream flavor, and then took it to a park to make and enjoy ice cream sundaes.

How did Chance propose?

Chance visited Emma's family in Austin, Texas just before Christmas. It was the most stressful week of his life. He planned on proposing but tried keeping it a surprise from Emma. Emma, who was in charge of the itinerary, kept changing the plans, which made it so Chance had to pivot his proposal plan multiple times. Eventually, the perfect moment came during a picnic overlooking the Austin metropolitan area, where he asked Emma to marry him. She said yes!

Answer

Chance will graduate with his master’s degree the week before their wedding. After their honeymoon, they will stay in Utah for a couple of years while Chance gains the experience and hours needed to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Therapist). From there, they are still figuring out where they would like to establish roots, but are excited about the many opportunities ahead.
