Zach was born in the Milwaukee Area. Emily moved to Milwaukee to attend the University of Milwaukee. The couple met one night in 2018 at their friend Ben's house party on the east side. Emily likes to say "there was an immediate attraction" the second she saw Zach across the room. The two spent the night flirting from opposite corners until they finally connected outside while getting some fresh air. Emily was set on not being in a relationship until after college, but Zach was persistent about seeing her. He just happened to show up at every party and bar Emily went to over the next several weeks. Emily thought it was just a coincidence, but it turns out their friends were “subtly” nudging them together the whole time. Their first official date was at the Collective along the lakefront—a spot that later became the backdrop for their engagement photos. After that first date, they were inseparable. Their love quickly grew into a strong foundation for a lifelong relationship. Sharing a love for games, music, and adventures, they've spent the years filled with gut-clenching laughter, trust, and support. Zach and Emily’s relationship has grown through the pandemic, a big move to Madison for work, and raising their two furry children, Meeka & Spooky. In the summer of 2024, Emily and Zach got engaged in the intimacy of their own home. With an elaborate, romantic setup crafted by their close friends while they were out to dinner, Emily surprised Zach by popping the question.
