Our Love Story
It all started with a swipe and a like and the rest was history. On December 9, 2022, Emily "liked" Hassan on Hinge, which quickly got her an invite to Hassan's work holiday party the following day. This bold move and Emily's unexpected acceptance was all the two needed to begin the best love story either have ever known. Since that day, they have been inseparable, never taking for granted this easy love that feels so right. Both feel so blessed to have become integral pieces of not only each other's lives, but also their families. Which is why a family backyard BBQ at Hassan's family home was the perfect place for Hassan to pop the question. On June 23, 2024, during a game of badminton, Hassan snuck away, gathered both of the families, got down on one knee...and FROZE. Emily threw her racquet and patiently waited to hear the most important words, but instead, heard her niece ask, "Aunt Em, why is he giving you that?" Which was all the motivation Hassan needed to ask Emily to marry him. The answer was obvious. On July 14, 2025, we will continue our love story in an intimate wedding ceremony with our parents, siblings, and nieces at the beach in North Carolina. Then just a few months later, on November 7, 2025, we will honor all of you who have had an positive impact on our lives at our wedding reception in Ellicott City. We can't wait to see you and celebrate all night long!

Ellicott City Historic District
If you have the time, we strongly suggest taking a stroll down Main Street in Old Ellicott City where our venue is nestled! The street is lined with so many special shops and fantastic places to grab a coffee or bite to eat. If you were to ask Hassan, he'd tell you to stop by Time Warp. His favorite place for retro collectibles and nostalgic treasures. And for Emily, her must-visit is Simply the Best, a quirky boutique filled with the most colorful clothes and goodies.

If you're up for some friendly competition, roll into Bowlero, where Hassan and Emily spend their time perfecting strikes and spares. Whether you're a seasoned bowler (like Hassan) or just in it for the laughs (like Emily), this spot is perfect for a fun night out!

This charming brunch spot holds a special place in our hearts-Emily used to work here! Known for its cozy atmosphere and delicious breakfast and lunch options, Georgia Grace is the perfect place to start your day! Whether you want something savory, a sweet treat or a perfect cup of coffee this local gem won't disappoint!
UMI Sushi
If you love sushi as much as we do, you have to check out UMI Sushi. It became our go-to spot when Emily (a former sushi hater) took Hassan here for his birthday last year!

When should I RSVP by?
Answer
We kindly ask that you RSVP by September 26, 2025. You can RSVP right here on our website or by scanning the QR code on the save the date. If you have any trouble, feel free to reach out to Hassan or Emily.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
You may arrive at Main Street Ballroom at 4:30pm. We will have drinks available and the party will start at 5:15. If you are driving to the venue and parking, you will want to allow ample time to find a parking spot. We do suggest carpooling or taking an Uber/Lyft to the venue due to limited and busy parking in Old Ellicott City.

Is there a dress code?
Answer
Our dress code is semi-formal. No formal tuxedos or gowns required, although welcomed if that is what makes you feel your best! Although the reception will be indoors, the venue includes an outdoor patio for fresh air, so be sure to dress with early November weather in mind.

Your invitation will specify if you're invited with a plus-one. Please refer to the RSVP details to confirm your guest allowance. We hope you understand that due to limited space, we can only accommodate additional guests when indicated on the invitation. Thank you for your understanding!

We kindly request no children under the age of 13 at the celebration, with the exception of Emily's nieces who will be part of the day. We hope you understand and appreciate your support in helping us create an adult-focused event.

Please indicate on your RSVP if you have any dietary restrictions. You will be prompted to provide an answer to that question. The catering team will not be serving or preparing food with any pork or pork products.
