Wedding Ceremony

3:30 pm

Armstrong Farms Westminster Preserve

Semi formal/Dressy Casual

We ask that everyone arrive and be seated by 3:15pm to ensure a prompt start for our ceremony

Cocktail Hour

4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Cocktail Hour will commence immediately following the ceremony. This will take place onsite outside the barn, in the outdoor bar area. Here we will serve drinks and hors d'oeuvres. Lawn games will be set up to kick off the party!

Wedding Party Entrances and First Dances

5:15 pm

At this time we will ask all guest be seated at their table inside the tent for the entrance of the wedding party! At this time we will also have our first dances.

Dinner

6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Dinner will be catered by Mission BBQ and will be served buffet style. Menu: Pulled Chicken & Beef Brisket Salad, Mac n Cheese, Green Beans with Bacon Corn Bread & Dinner Rolls ***Please notify us if you have any dietary restrictions or requests in order for us to properly accommodate

Lodging Information

The wedding party will have on site lodging. For family or friends traveling into the area feel free to book a nearby airbnb or hotel. Airbnbs are limited in the area. We do not have any hotel rooms blocked. You may book accommodations at any nearby hotel, however we do have some options listed for those unfamiliar with the area. Hotel Options: Butler, PA : 20-25 min drive Cranberry Township, PA 25-30 min drive

We are so excited to share our favorite local places with those traveling into the area for our big day. We hope you enjoy your time in our town and enjoy some of our most loved places!

Vintage Coffeehouse

This is our favorite Saturday morning date spot- we frequent here most weekends. This is small family owned business. A great spot to meet friends and family to sit down for coffee and pastries- also kid friendly. Our favorite drink from here is the Iced White Mocha Latte :)

Cannella Cafe - Butler

This is one of our favorite breakfast/lunch spots in downtown Butler. Alex’s favorite meal is the Cafe Mess- a sausage gravy breakfast bowl.

Natili North is a staple restaurant of downtown Butler and one of our favorite spots. It has been family owned since 1973 and offers a wide variety of homestyle and Italian dishes. Be sure to finish your meal with of of their famous homemade desserts!

Downtown Saxonburg is a great place to visit if you'd like to walk around and check out the shops. There is a few boutiques/gift shops, coffee shop, bakeries, winery, etc.

Living Treasures "Wild" Animal Park

This would make for a great experience on Friday or Sunday for those traveling in with kids. Living Treasures is an interactive animal park that provides many opportunities to feed the animals. This is a fan favorite in the area!

Moraine State Park is nearby our new house. It is home to Lake Arthur. There is walking/biking trails, swimming areas, fishing spots and more. Alex enjoys going to Moraine to hunt and fish!

McConnells Mill is a beautiful historic landmark that sits on Slippery Rock Creek. It is a great spot to visit to enjoy the scenic overlooks and waterfalls. There is also many hiking trails.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We are asking every to have their RSVP in by June 30th to allow for final head counts for our vendors.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

While we don’t have any formal dress code we encourage you to wear anything from semi-formal clothing to dressy casual. Keep in mind this is an outdoor wedding and will not be air conditioned. Our ceremony will take place a short walk below the reception area. Which could pose difficulties for those wearing heals. We encourage you to dress in nice attire that you are most comfortable in. If you would like to compliment our wedding colors you may wear shades of blue, but not required.

Can I bring a date?

We ask that only those addressed on the invites attend our wedding, as we do have restrictions on the number of people allowed at our event. If there is any questions please reach out to one of us.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love everyone’s kiddos! Your invite should include your children, however if there are any questions feel free to reach one of us. Please let us know if you are attending without your kiddos.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there will be parking onsite in the grass field. Follow the signs to the parking area

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please reach out to us and notify us of any food allergies or dietary restrictions. We will have a buffet style dinner, however special requests with dietary restrictions can be accommodated. We will be using Mission BBQ as our cater.

Is the ceremony and reception at the same location?

Answer

Yes! Our ceremony and reception will both take place at Armstrong Farms. Our ceremony is located at the pond. Cocktail hour and reception will take place in the barn/tent area.

Which barn at Armstrong Farms?

Answer

Please note that Armstrong Farms does has 2 locations for weddings. Our event will be taking place at the Westminster Preserve barn. This is a separate address from the other location!
