Take a floatplane (Harbour Air Seaplanes, SeaAir Seaplanes) from Vancouver (Downtown OR YVR airport) to Ganges Harbour on Salt Spring Island.

Fly from your location to Victoria Airport (YYJ). Connecting flights also available from Vancouver (YVR). From YYJ, take a 10 minute cab ride to Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal. Take the ferry from Swartz Bay to Fulford Harbour Terminal, Salt Spring Island.

By Foot Take the thru-fare trip to from Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal to Fulford Harbour via Swartz Bay. By Car Take the thru-fare trip from Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal to Fulford Harbour via Swartz Bay or take the direct ferry from Tsawwassen to Salt Spring Island (Long Harbour). It is highly recommended to make reservations with BC Ferries when travelling by car.

Lightwater is our wedding venue for the weekend. We have been able to organize for some of our family and friends to stay on site, but unfortunately it isn't large enough to accommodate all of our loved ones. If you are not staying on site, you are still welcome to come over any time and make yourself feel right at home!

If you aren't bringing a car with you, renting something to get around the island might be a good idea. That said, there will be lots of folks with cars (including Ella and Noah) who will no doubt be happy to lend one or carpool. We are also organizing rides back on Saturday night around the island if you need.

Salt Spring has the "Silver Shadow" for their taxi service. Call 250-537-3030. We will also be arranging our own shuttle/rides for people to get back to where they are staying on Saturday night.

Saturdays from 9am-3pm the square in Ganges turns into a renowned market full of whimsical things and great food. We recommend stopping by, just don't be late to the ceremony! 😉

Question
When should I RSVP by?
Answer
Please RSVP as soon as possible so that we can best assist with making sure everyone finds accommodation. At the very latest, please RSVP by June 1st, 2024.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
You are welcome onsite at Lightwater Cove any time you wish, but arriving around 3:30-4:00 will be perfect. Refreshments will be available before the ceremony starts.

Is there a dress code?
Answer
It's August. It's hot. Look great, but we want you to feel great too. Lightweight fabrics (linen suits, anyone?), flowy dresses, etc. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors on grass or paving stone pathways--we don't recommend high heels. Indoors the flooring is soft fir, so the owners request shoes to be taken off/indoor shoes to be worn.

Yes, you can. Please let us know as soon as possible and we will try to accommodate you.

Are kids welcome?
Answer
We have chosen to have no kids at these events. We love your little ones, but due to safety concerns at the venue, Lightwater is not the place to enjoy with them. We know this can throw a wrench in plans to attend, and we thank you for your understanding.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
Yes, there is plenty of parking available. There will be signs to point you to several locations on the grounds.

We are having a small wedding. If there is not a plus one option present when you go to RSVP, we have invited just you! If we have overlooked a long-term partner you would like to bring with you, please let Ella or Noah know. We will see what we can do 💕

Do I need to be there from the 22nd to the 25th?
Answer
We are so excited to see so many loved ones gathered in one space! We've learned from witnessing our friends tie the knot that a few days together is priceless. That said, you are of course welcome to choose when to arrive, and which events you attend. Please let us know in the RSVP or by reaching out to Ella and Noah. We can't wait to see you!
