Frances was a fourth-year high school student at CNSHS, while Eldrich was a fifth-year college student at PUP-Maragondon. They met because of a research project led by Frances, in which his theatre group was chosen to participate. At first, she only saw him as an older brother figure. However, they started developing a fondness for each other over time.

After the research project, Eldrich and Frances continued their communication. Frances, who referred to Eldrich as "kuya," often confided in him and shared stories about her daily life at school, and he did the same. Eldrich confessed his feelings via text message, stating that he was falling for her, and Frances admitted the same. They considered each other boyfriend and girlfriend, but due to the age gap issue, they decided to label their relationship as Mutual Understanding or M.U. Frances was Eldrich's first girlfriend, and he was her second boyfriend. At that time, they communicated only through text and calls, and their relationship was not yet official to their families.

Eldrich and Frances reestablished communication. He fulfilled his promise to wait for her after 5 years. He formally asked Frances' parents for permission to court her, and there, he patiently courted her for a second chance, seizing every opportunity to make up for the past.

It was Frances' birthday, and due to the pandemic and lockdown, Eldrich faced great difficulty in visiting her personally. However, he didn't give up. He found a way to get out and celebrate a very special day. It was a very happy day, though everything happened quickly. On the night of May 04, Frances said yes to Eldrich, thus their Third Chance to Forever!

Eldrich had already made up his mind and planned to propose to Frances. The original plan for the proposal was December 12, 2022, but the timing and opportunity didn't align. He sought permission from Frances' parents to ask for her hand in marriage, and they gladly gave their blessing. With overwhelming excitement, he decided to propose on the day they first met again in 2020, but alas, his memory misled him—January 10 instead of the correct date, January 12. The proposal was planned to take place where they first met in 2012 (CavSci). With the collaboration of her highschool friends and cousins, and with both their families and close friends as witnesses, Eldrich proposed to Frances, and he didn't fail to secure a resounding "Yes" from Frances!
