Our Story

We met through a mutual friend at the beginning of our Senior year of college at Mizzou, where we both studied Natural Resource Management. We quickly became good friends and would frequently cook dinner together, watch movies, and play with our dog, Juniper. On March 25, 2023, we started our journey together and officially began dating after a fun day spent in St. Louis. On August 27, 2023, we got engaged at one of our favorite places, Eagle Bluffs Conservation Area in Columbia, Missouri. Nowadays we still love spending time cooking, watching movies, and playing with Juniper, as well as our two cats, Everest and Gracie. We also enjoy spending our time outdoors going for walks and building our own field guide from flowers and leaves we collect along the way, going for drives, and enjoying other fun adventures.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We are planning on holding our ceremony and reception outdoors, weather permitting. The historic average high temperature is 55 degrees, so make sure to bring something warm! If it is too cold, we will move things indoors.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Missouri weather is pretty unpredictable! We can almost guarantee that it will be fairly cold, as high temperatures in March typically hover around 55 degrees. You can keep up with the current forecast at https://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=38.46732500000007&lon=-93.62576999999999

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We would like all of our RSVPs by February 14, 2024 so that we have plenty of time to plan around the amount of people that are attending. Unsure if you can make it but would like to attend? Text Elana or Ethan so that we know!

Question

Can I bring an extra guest?

Answer

We want our wedding to be more intimate, so unless we gave you a plus one, we ask that you limit attendees to ones listed on your invitation. If you have a question, text Elana or Ethan!

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

There will NOT be alcohol at our wedding. We will not be providing and ask that you leave it at home. If you want to celebrate with alcohol, we ask that you do so after you leave.

Question

Can I take pictures of the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that you do not take any photos during our ceremony. You are welcome to take photos before and after, but we do not want outside cameras potentially getting in the way of our photographer and ruining good shots!

Question

Do you want to see the photos I took during the wedding?

Answer

Of course! Our photographer can't capture everything and all of our guests, so we would love to see photos you have taken of you, us, or even just decor. We just ask that you don't take any during the actual ceremony. You can use this link to add them into our wedding album! https://photos.app.goo.gl/Ha7SkjteT45rYvzn7

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We ask that you wear something business casual. Nice jeans and a shirt are just fine. Plan on bringing a jacket! If you would like to match our color palette, make sure to check it out in the Gallery section!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Elana likes to stick to a schedule, so we ask that you get to the ceremony early so that you have plenty of time to sign our guestbook, visit, and find a seat before we begin.

Question

Can I post photos of the reception online?

Answer

Of course! We would love to see the photos that you have taken, so make sure to tag us!
