We graciously request your presence at our small, private wedding hosted by the bride parent's, John and Michelle, at her childhood home in Anderson, Indiana. We are keeping the guestlist to this event short, only inviting our closest family members and beloved friends. We have discussed having a much larger wedding event and reception about a year from now with extended friends and family. Until then, we invite you to our special day and hope you will help us celebrate!
4:30 pm
Our wedding ceremoney and reception will all be held outside. We will have a tent covering for the reception/ dinner area. After the ceremony and exit recessional, we will invite all of our guests to take pictures with the bride and groom before they take portraits and begin dinner.
6:00 pm
We will be catering in authentic Mexican favorites, served hot and fresh. Dishes will include chorizo, al pastor, carnitas, and cabeza tacos, rice, beans, Jarritos and aqua frescas. Sometime thereafter, we will be having a brief "cutting of the cake" ceremony with toasts of champange throughout the night. Our wedding cake will be Tres Leche style, and is being provided by the groom's mother, Imelda.
8:30 pm
Bug spray will be available to use throughout the night and dendent on weather, we can also include a bonfire. The bride and groom encourage drinking, dancing, and having fun!
While this is not a black tie event, we do ask a few things in regards to your warbrode on our big day! In order to best color coordinate our small guestlist for photos, we would love for you to come in summer, spring, and neutral colors. Floral colors that we recommend would be such as light pinks, reds, and purples, as well as yellow, orange, green, brown, etc. We ask you come in your "Sunday Best", but don't stress too much about how fancy you look, we just want you to be here with us!
My parent's house is right next to our outdoor wedding area and will provide an indoor bathroom available for guests to use. While we do not plan on having the celebration inside, this will also allow an air conditioned area for guests to use and rest shortly if need be.
Of course! Since we do not have a venue or vendor for alcohol, we will be providing most of the beverages. We will have a selection of nonalcoholic options along with alcoholic drinks the bride and groom love. WIth that being said, you are more than welcome to bring whatever drinks or alcohol you would like!
While we would love to celebrate with everyone, we are keeping this ceremony and celebration small and private. Please do not expect a plus one with your invitation unless previsouly discussed, thank you.
There is limited parking available but lots of space for us to work with. We ask if you can carpool with a friend or family member, please do! Cars will begin to be parked in the yeard perpindicular to the street once the driveway is full.
We are currently registered through Amazon, but please don’t feel obligated to bring anything. The best gift you could bring us is your presence!
