We met through mutual friends, one of those Austin weekend nights. We met at multiple events and places around the city. For the longest, Eden couldn't remember Avery's name , but knew his brother's name, obviously it was easier because it was the name of the city where she was born and raised (Austin..haha). After the short term memory, she finally got it and the story of Eden and Avery began! Through multiple evenings of meeting up at La Cruda, to countless dinner nights, movies and facetime calls our love grew stronger. This journey of love started with friendship, that grew into best friends and ended up as partners and soon to be husband and wife.
Finding the right moment is always tricky, especially when your bride to be knows your every move. After countless nights, of our hypothetical conversations about how our wedding would look and even reminiscing of memories throughout our relationship. The time finally came. Originally, I had an extravagant plan to take Eden to Seattle and wine and dine her...you know that "perfect proposal movie scene", the plan became too complicated. Therefore cozied up in our bed, another one of those intimate moments of us talking about how much we love one another, who said it first, the timing couldn't have been more perfect. Eden always told me, that if she were to get proposed to, she wanted it to be an intimate moment, with both us deep in our feelings. At this moment, I knew this was the perfect moment... I went to my hiding place to get the ring, telling her "I had a surprise for her" and she assumed it was a last minute Christmas gift, but little did she know I got on one knee and asked her to marry me. She couldn't believe it was real and she said yes and the rest was history, I was marrying my best friend!
Travel Note
Hi all our amazing people! We do HIGHLY recommend renting a vehicle with Turo, or any rental car place. The venue is located outside of Austin and 27 miles from the airport. Ride shares can start to get pricey and do not frequently travel to this area.
Hotel
This is one of the newer hotels in the area and only 8 minute's from the venue.
Hotel
Alternative option for hotel stay. Still very close to the venue
House Or Rental
We do recommend a vacation rental for the area if you do not want to stay in a hotel or traveling in groups. Dripping Springs is the Texas hill country with beautiful TEXAS size homes all around to accommodate small or large groups.
Hotel
Here is another alternative option of stay. This hotel is about 30 minutes away from the venue of where the wedding will be taken place. They are offering a discount rate for rooms to stay at this hotel. If you do book with this hotel, please book 3.5 weeks in advance so you can reserve your stay at the discounted rate, because as the date gets closer the rate will change. Please visit the link below to book your stay or you can give them a call and mention our wedding so you can receive the discount rate. https://www.marriott.com/en-us/hotels/hourw-residence-inn-houston-medical-center-nrg-park/overview/
Formal. Women: Spring time, full length dresses. Pastels, beautiful prints, flowy, and airy enough for the Texas sun! Men: Formal suit. Ties or bowties. Also encouraged to where Springtime colors
To allow all wedding guests, including parents, a night of relaxation and uninhibited revelry, we respectfully ask that no children attend the ceremony and reception.
No, not really. That is why we encourage a rental car! Turo is an expensive daily option. Dripping Springs is very Texas hill country, with unique shopping, breweries, and BBQ. Please visit Austin after the wedding if you are still in town :)
