Madden's On Gull Lake
We would be remiss to not put Madden's on our list of recommended places to stay in Nisswa! We've stayed at Madden's a few times and it has become a favorite spot of ours to stay at anytime we go up north. They have great room options for small parties and also have accommodations for larger parties as well.

If you are feeling adventurous and want to sleep amongst the stars, Fritz's Campground is a perfect option and even better, it's only about an 8 minute drive from the venue!

The Chocolate Ox
If you are in need of a sweet treat (because, vacation!) the Chocolate Ox is a great ice cream and candy store that has two locations in the Brainerd Lakes Area. The Downtown Nisswa location is our favorite, but they also have a location in the Grand View Lodge Resort.
Northland Kart Kountry
If weather permits, Northland Kart Kountry is one of our favorite spots in the Brainerd Lakes Area to have fun! This go-kart facility also features a batting cage, rock climbing, bumper boats, and mini-golf.
Golf Courses in Nisswa
There are some great golf courses all across the Brainerd Lakes Area - we haven't had a chance to try them all so rather than steer you in one direction, here is a link to all of the options in Nisswa that you can choose from!
Paul Bunyan Trail Access
Our wedding weekend will also be a great time to get out and see some wonderful fall colors! Paul Bunyan Trail is a great option for hiking, biking, and more in Nisswa.

Question
Are kids welcome at the wedding?
Answer
Unless specified on your invitation, only immediate family will be allowed to have their kids at the wedding festivities.
Question
What should I wear to the wedding?
Answer
Our wedding will be cocktail attire. We ask that you wear attire such a dress shirt with a tie, or a suit and tie for men, and a midi- or knee-length dress or dressy separates for women. Please refrain from wearing blue jeans or sneakers.

Is it OK to take photos during the ceremony?
Answer
We kindly ask that you please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony, and if you take any photos after we say our "I do's" please be sure that the flash on your cameras/phones are off as to not interfere with our photographer or videographer's shots.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
The ceremony and reception will be entirely indoors, however there will be opportunity during the cocktail hour and reception time to mingle outside with views of the lake, so we recommend bringing a light jacket if you'd like to enjoy the outdoor space at all throughout the night.

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?
Answer
Our wedding will begin promptly at 4:00PM, therefore we recommend arriving at least 15 minutes beforehand so you have enough time to enter the venue and get situated.

Will there be transportation provided to and from the venue?
Answer
We will have a shuttle service available for those staying at the Country Inn and Suites (listed in our Travel section). Outside of the shuttle, there are services like Uber and Lyft available in Nisswa.

Is there parking at the venue?
Answer
Yes, if you decide to drive yourself to the venue there is a parking lot located across from the venue that you'll see to your left as you enter in your vehicle.

The reception will end promptly at 11:00PM.
