Panama Canal
Miraflores is a great way to see the Panama Canal and watch ships passing through the locks. The center features a state-of-the-art museum showcasing the canal's history and operations, with observation decks providing panoramic views of the canal and the city skyline. 20 minutes from Casco Viejo.
Biomuseo
A renowned museum that explores the biodiversity and natural history of Panama. Designed by architect Frank Gehry, some people think it's a masterpiece, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. 10 minutes from Casco Viejo.
Amador Causeway Biking
The Amador Causeway offers scenic views of the ocean and city skyline. Rent a bike and ride along the Causeway's well-maintained bike path along the coastline. 25 minutes from Casco Viejo.
Taboga Island
Take a scenic ferry ride across the ocean to Taboga Island, where you can relax and explore the inviting beaches, hike the island's trails, and immerse yourselves in the local culture and cuisine. The ferry takes 30-45 minutes. Getting to the ferry from Casco Viejo takes 30 minutes.

We fed wild monkeys on the boat tour once and it was pretty cool. 45 minutes from Casco Viejo.
