Dan and Jaymi first met at a course in July 2020 - the U.S. Air Force Weapons School (or, WIC). For those unfamiliar, WIC is about 6 months of long days, academics, studying, preparing lessons, learning weapons systems, mission planning, and drinking away your sorrows from, oftentimes multiple, failed attempts to pass an event. Social functioning is at an all-time low. Inside jokes consist of what you did on 2 hours of sleep and highlights of conversation include "good" dry erase markers, how an instructor wronged you, and why some critical aircraft in your gameplan wasn't where it was supposed to be for your mission. There is a lot of good that comes from it as well - to include your classmates who become some of your closest friends. Not to mention, it was COVID primetime so they were all each other had. It wasn't until after Dan and Jaymi graduated that their relationship grew beyond friendship. Dan went to Louisiana and Jaymi to Japan. They kept in-touch in the months following Weapons School graduation. During the spring of 2021 on one of Jaymi's trips to the States, she needed to catch a plane out of Seattle to get back to Japan. Knowing that Seattle is Dan's hometown, she asked if he was interested in meeting her there to hang out for a couple of days before she caught the rotator back to Japan. It just so happened that his parents were also in the area and moving his sister across town into a new place, so he did! Ironically enough this is also when Jaymi met Dan's family for the first time. Jaymi and Dan went hiking, explored the city, and had a great time; however, the timing wasn't right for a long-distance relationship. Nevertheless, they continued to talk (even with a 14 hour time difference), and when Jaymi returned to the States she always ended up visiting Dan. In October of 2021, they finally agreed that their hearts were drawn to each other and the long distance would be worth it.

Best Man
Where to begin. Brendan and I have been friends since before either of us can remember. We’ve been through all aspects of life together; the good, the bad, the weird, the ‘that’s a really dumb idea let’s do it anyway’. And through it all, we’ve stayed best friends until the end. From growing up down the street from each other and the endless days of summer as kids, to living on opposite sides of the world and navigating adulthood, we’ll always come back together and pick up just like we did 20 years ago.
Best Man
Together Win, Brendan, and I are the inseparable three amigos. There was hardly a place any of us went as kids that didn’t involve the other two. Playing sports in the street, summer days at the lake, more Fourth of July close calls than we should admit, and enough general shenanigans for a lifetime. Then as college roommates, Win and I continued to share memories with each other as adults, though it still arguably involved even more shenanigans. And though our lives have taken us apart geographically, we are still always there for each other when we need it most.
Groomswoman
Rachel is one of the earliest friends I can remember. The year was 1996 and I had just moved into a new neighborhood where she lived a few houses down. I can remember us both standing behind our parents introducing themselves and thinking that I’ve just made a friend for life. She would later tell me that the only reason she wanted to be my friend is because she thought I looked like Peter Pan. Nevertheless, she still dealt with me all through middle school, high school, and beyond. Now here we are almost 30 years later, and I can’t imagine life without Rachel as a friend.
Matron of Honor
"Nails" and I met while we were preparing to put ourselves through the 6-months of WIC. Our hotel rooms ended up right next to each other while at WIC, and were 2 of maybe 5 females attending locally. Without her, I wouldn't have passed the course. She is consistently thoughtful, extremely witty, and always lends an ear (especially when I need it most). Little did we know that WIC lead us to a bond that’s anything but ordinary. Looking back, we might question our decision to attend the course... but we wouldn’t change a thing about our friendship. She taught me to always have snacks at the ready, and there are no limitations to when and where you can have charcuterie.
Bridesmaid
Vic and I met through Dan when he was stationed in Louisiana. We made brunch together and hosted Friendsgiving for the "Shreveport Squad" on a couple of occasions and played many JackBox games. She makes a great waffle and a mean Bloody Mary. We share an enjoyment of putting together a gameplan, which is why we instantly hit it off so well. Vic has an incredible sense of humor and just as big of a heart.
Bridesmaid
Amy and I worked together at Victoria's Secret throughout college. She was my boss and we were in-charge of making sure the stock room stayed organized so we didn't have any 'bra-tastrophes' , or as another co-worker put it: slingin' 'brawls' everywhere. We prefer order and discipline, but don't mind some shenanigans along the way. Amy is a beautiful person inside and out, and she has the tenderest of souls. As with Tia and Vic, Amy also maintains standard by effortlessly combining sharp wit with a delightful sense of humor. Even with years between visits, Amy and I can chat at a coffee shop and pick back up right where we left off. (She also took many of the pictures you're seeing on this site of Dan and I!)
Wonderful zoo with great views. It is hilly so wear appropriate footwear.
Not for the faint of heart.
