June 15th 2019 is the day I will cherish for the rest of my life as it is the day I met Francine. It all started when I took a trip to Uganda and it was during this time that my cousin introduced us. I remember meeting Francine for the first time and her smile immediately caught my eye. We spoke briefly but in that short conversation, I could tell there was something special about her. She was calm, kind, and effortlessly beautiful. There was just something fascinating about her. When I returned to the U.S, we kept in touch. What started as casual chats about our interests and dreams slowly turned into deeper conversations. Over time, weeks turned into months, and before I knew it, our connection grew into something far beyond friendship. It felt like we had known each other forever, like our lives were meant to intertwine. That is when I realized I had found the one. Fast forward to January 2021, Francine introduced me to her parents, which felt like a big step for the both of us. Later that year in December, we had our traditional marriage ceremony. It was such a beautiful day, surrounded by family and celebrating an incredible journey we had started together. A year later, Francine made the move to the U.S and I cannot even describe how excited I was. When I look back, it amazes me that what was supposed to be a short trip to attend a wedding turned into the start of this incredible adventure with Francine. Every day, I am thankful for the chance of meeting her and how our love has grown. She is my love, my life, my everything, and I could not imagine life any other way.
