Delta, United, Copa, Avianca, and LATAM Airlines

For our international guests, we recommend that you fly directly to Cuenca. There are 2 paths that we recommend: 1) You can fly to Quito via United, Delta, or Copa Airlines, and then to Cuenca via either Avianca or LATAM Airlines. Since Cuenca is a very small airport, there are only a few flights available every day. You will likely arrive either very early in the morning, or very late at night, so plan accordingly. Due to that, you may have to stay overnight in the Quito Airport - there is a 'Layover Lounge' in the building across from the terminal that we recommend for long layovers if you don't buy a hotel room. The airport has a Courtyard Marriott and a Wyndham within or near the facility. 2) You can fly to Guayaquil via United, Delta, or Copa Airlines and then to Quito or Cuenca via Avianca or LATAM Airlines. If you choose this option we highly recommend that you do not leave the airport. There are direct flights available from Guayaquil to Cuenca.
