Emily and Sean first met during Sophomore year in their Biology lecture. At first, they sat at extremely opposite ends of the lecture hall, Sean in the very front row, while Emily was in the back. The absolute only way they could have met was through mutual friends, where Sean was then forced to disobey his studious needs and sit behind Emily for the remainder of the semester. After spending all of their free time at the library together, trying not to fail, they developed a true friendship that soon we will come to know, will last a lifetime.

During an evening swim in the family cottage lake, Emily, along with her Mother, Aunt, and Brother, took notice of what looked like a flustered Sean along the pathway to get to the beach. Covered by the darkness of the trees that surrounded him, Sean paced up and down, back and forth, while Emily had no clue why he was acting so odd. After drying off and packing up their things, the four of them decided to go back up to the cottage and confront Sean as he was definitely not himself. As Emily approached Sean, she then saw the handful of flowers, to which she assumed they were for her mother as Sean was known for his thoughtfulness towards her family. However, as she got closer, Sean spoke the word "Emily", to which she knew exactly what was happening. Emily followed Sean to the beautiful sunset spot that he picked, grabbed her hands, and began his speech. Having absolutely no idea that this was the day she was going to get proposed to, Emily blacked out and missed almost every word Sean had spoke. Finally after his wonderful speech, that Emily had asked him to repeat later, Sean dropped to his knee, in perfect lunge form, opened the ring box, and said "Will you marry me?". Immediately, Emily said "YES", Sean put the ring on her finger, and they hugged and kissed in celebration. During this time, the three family members, along with a very kind beach stranger, had filmed and watched as they all knew what was going on. The only one happily surprised was Emily.
