Dillon and Kaitlyn met online one October afternoon in 2019 when Dillon caught Kaitlyn’s eye with his luscious curly hair. She sent him a message and they spent the rest of the night talking like they’d known each other their whole lives. They instantly connected, bonded over similar interests and felt like best friends. The only issue was she lived in Morgantown, West Virginia and he lived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. However, they didn’t let the 2 hour distance stop them from talking every single day, going on adventurous dates on the weekends and falling deeply in love. After 5 months of being long distance, Kaitlyn moved to Pittsburgh on the very first day that the 2020 pandemic started, to be with Dillon and they’ve been inseparable ever since. In August of 2023 they went on vacation to Lake Erie, where Dillon proposed to Kaitlyn on top of the Bicentennial Tower. He surprised her by getting down on one knee behind her while she looked out on the lake. On the day of their wedding, they will be celebrating 6 years since their first date.
Saratoga Springs is home to 21 natural mineral springs, hence their name. They are an upscale, farmtown in upstate New York, with the slogan “Health, History, and Horses”. Their water is known to have healing properties, and yes, you can drink it straight from the stream and are encouraged to do so. Presidents in history have been infamously known to take advantage of the Springs, especially Theodore Roosevelt who has a Spa named after him in the National Park. Saratoga is also famous for their horses and horse races, in which their horse track is the oldest sports venue to still be open in the entire world; the first horse race to ever take place was when President Lincoln was in office. The famous horse movie, “Seabiscuit” starring Tobey Maguire was filmed here. It’s also the town where Potato Chips were invented!
