Travel Note

Passport Information

All travelers will need a valid U.S. passport that doesn’t expire within 6 months of the trip. Beginning in late 2026, the EU will may also require a quick online travel authorization called ETIAS, which is simple to apply for and valid for multiple visits. You can find official updates and apply directly through the European Commission’s ETIAS website linked below.

Travel Note

Where to Stay

We strongly recommend staying in Valletta, as the majority of our wedding events will be located there. The city is very walkable, so wherever you choose to stay, you'll be just a short stroll from the celebrations. Staying in Valletta will make it easy to enjoy the events, explore the capital city and soak in the local charm.

Travel Note

Airbnb

Valletta has a variety of Airbnb options to suit both large and small groups, making it easy to find a place that fits all your needs.

Flight

Malta International Airport (MLA)

MLA is the only airport on the island of Malta. Flights from the U.S connect through European cities like London, Frankfurt or Rome. From the airport, Valletta is about a 25 minute taxi or Bolt. Starting June 2026, Delta will offer nonstop flights from New York (JFK) to Malta (MLA), making it easier than ever to get there without any connections through Europe. Flights operate on select days: JFK → Malta: Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays Malta → JFK: Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays

Travel Note

Ride Share

Malta doesn’t have Uber or Lyft, but the local rideshare app is Bolt. It works just like the apps you’re used to — quick, easy, and affordable. You can download from the link below.
