FAQs

Question

What is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP by May 10th so we can finalize all the fun details (and the food!). Your timely response means the world to us - Thank you!

Question

I don't see all the events in my RSVP - am i invited?

Answer

We're hosting a few more intimate events with limited guest lists, so not every event will appear in each RSVP. If you don't see a particular event listed when you respond, it simply means it isn't part of your invitation. We hope you understand, and we're so grateful to celebrate this special time with you at the events you'll be attending!

Question

What should I wear to Mehndi?

Answer

Our Mehndi night is Morroccan-themed with a celebration of vibrant colors and desi flair! Think bold, bright, and festive. For Ladies: Traditional South Asian clothing is preferred. Feel free to wear lehengas, ghararas, shararas, or anything colorful and fun! For Gents: bring your style with colored kurtas or waistcoats. Note - Groom's friends will be wearing green dupattas (provided by Groom's family) and Bride's friends will be wearing maroon dupattas (provided by Bride's family). Pick a color that compliments your side and get ready for an evening full of music, dance, and color!

Question

What should I wear to Nikkah?

Answer

Our Nikkah will be an elegant outdoor ceremony, so we kindly ask guests to dress in light, airy attire that's both respectful and weather-appropriate. For Ladies: Traditional outfits like shalwar kameez, saris, or long elegant dresses are perfect. For Gents: Classic shalwar kameez, linen suits, or crisp light shirts and trousers are perfect. Color Palette: Please opt for neutral or pastel tones - think soft blush, ivory, sage, or dusty blue - to complement the serene setting. Comfort Tip: It might be sunny, so don't forget your sunglasses and a light shawl or dupatta if you'd like some coverage. The vibe is graceful, understated, and natural - just like the day itself.

Question

What should i wear to Reception?

Answer

Our Reception will be a black-tie celebration held in a stunning glass venue - sleek, modern, and filled with light. We ask guests to dress in formal, elegant attire, with a refined, neutral color palette to complement the ambiance. For Ladies: Saris, shalwar kameez, lehengas, long dresses, or evening skirts - as long as it's elegant, it's perfect. Think flowing fabrics and soft, timeless tones. For Gents: Suits are a must. Feel free to dress to the nines - a classic black-tie look is always welcome. Color Palette: champagne, silver, soft gold, sage green, blush pinks, powder blues, muted greys, charcoal, or black - to keep the look cohesive and clean against the modern setting. It's a night of elegance, joy, and celebration - and your presence in your finest will make it all the more special.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your little ones! Children under 2 are welcome to attend, as long as they don't require a separate seat or high chair. For kids over 2, unless they're specifically named on your invitation, we kindly ask that they sit this one out. Thank you for understanding!

Question

What time should we arrive?

Answer

We'll be sticking closely to the schedule - the bride has every minute planned ;) Please arrive on time so we can ensure a smooth start and you don't miss a moment.

Question

Will there be food at all events?

Answer

Yes! Mehndi and Reception will have full dinner served. Nikkah will include finger food and refreshments after the ceremony. Come hungry - we've got you covered!

Question

Can i bring a plus-one?

Answer

Your invitation will specify if you have a plus-one. If you're unsure, feel free to reach out directly.

Question

I don't see a registry - what gift should i get the bride and groom?

Answer

Your presence means the world to us, and we kindly request no boxed gifts or flowers at the events. If you'd still like to share your love, we'll leave that to your discretion - no pressure, just heartfelt gratitude!

Question

Can we post photos on social media?

Answer

Absolutely! Feel free to tag us and use our wedding hashtag: #DilSara
