Sometimes, love has a funny way of finding you when you least expect it. We had known of each other through mutual friends for years, but it wasn’t until Samantha’s birthday in 2016 that the stars finally aligned. She went out to one of her favorite local spots to celebrate—and as fate would have it, Shawn was DJing that night. He spotted her across the room and sent over a round of birthday shots (smooth move, right?). One great conversation at the bar turned into a spontaneous trip to a diner… (not a good one) and then hours talking in the car like two people who had known each other forever. We laughed, we shared, we stayed up all night just talking—and in that moment, something clicked. Since that night, it’s been nothing but laughter, adventures, and love. Becoming parents to our amazing son, who lights up our world in ways we never imagined. Now, with full hearts (and probably a diaper bag nearby), we’re saying “I do”—and we can’t wait for what’s next.
