How We Met
Tom and Diane were born and raised in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. They graduated in 1972, but didn’t meet until their 50 year class reunion in June 2022. (The graduating class was 842, so it isn’t surprising!) They met late in the evening, when Diane’s guest stopped Tom as he was walking past to ask him about a mutual friend from her graduating class. She was wearing a mask to protect from possible COVID, so Diane also wore a mask, in support. She and Tom spoke for a few minutes before Tom turned to Diane and said, “You have the most beautiful eyes”. They each left the reunion that night knowing the other would be at the next day’s reunion get-together at the Yacht Club. There they spoke at length before Tom invited Diane to join him and another couple for dinner. Tom and Diane went on their first date a few days later, when Tom took Diane on a motorcycle ride around Lake Winnebago! Tom had been living in Florida for the previous 7 years. Diane had been living in California for the previous 42 years. After they met, they quickly fell in love and started traveling together between coasts, which they quickly tired of. They subsequently sold each of their houses and purchased a home together in Spring Hill, Florida, in December 2023. Tom and Diane both agree that their love story should have been a Hallmark movie!

Where's the Gift Registry?

We have chosen not to create a registry—your presence is the greatest gift, and no gifts are required! For those still wishing to give, we would be very grateful for cards or contributions towards our honeymoon fund. Can't wait to celebrate with you!

What's the dress attire?
Answer
The attire is Dressy Casual, this blends elements of formal and casual attire. It's more polished than everyday casual wear but not as formal as business or cocktail attire. Think of it as a step above jeans and a t-shirt, but one step below a suit and tie. But attire doesn't really matter to us, we just want our friends and family to celebrate with us! For Women: Dressy casual outfits often include flowy midi dresses, stylish blouses paired with skirts or dress pants or tailored trousers with a chic top. You can also dress up dark jeans with a statement top and heels. For Men: Dressy casual for men usually involves dress pants or chinos paired with a blazer or sport coat, polo shirt or dress shirt (tie optional), and leather shoes or smart sneakers.

What's on the menu?

Alpha Dog's food truck, owned by the Bride's nephew, will be preparing our buffet dinner. The menu will include salad, BBQ pulled pork, brats, hot dogs, mac and cheese and more! We'll have a selection of wine, beer, soft drinks and water available. You're welcome to bring something else, if you prefer something that's not on our menu.
