From Swipe to Forever: Our Dating App Love Story
Tristan and I met on Hinge in March of 2019. Our first date was unforgettable, especially because it was also the first time Tristan met my family. My dad, with his background in private investigation and security, had all his tools laid out on the front counter when Tristan showed up at our door. It was quite the scene, but luckily, Dad didn’t scare him away. From that first date, we knew we had something special. We quickly became inseparable, doing everything together. We went on numerous trips and adventures, including Tristan’s first trip out of the country with us. Then came 2020, a year we’ll all remember for its challenges. Despite everything, we stayed strong. But early 2021 brought personal tragedy with the passing of my dad. It was a tough time for everyone, but it also became a year of growth. Tristan continued his career in the Navy while I started my journey in real estate. 2022 flew by, and at the end of the year, Tristan moved to Virginia for his new assignment on the USS Ford. In 2023, he was deployed overseas for nine months. We kept in touch through emails and occasional phone calls. As his deployment neared its end, we planned a trip to Italy where we could finally see each other again. Little did I know, Tristan had a big surprise in store. He had been working with my friend Mackenzie to plan something special. When I arrived in Italy, Mackenzie told me she had arranged a photography session for us. But during our boat ride, we stopped at a beautiful white church with the stunning Italian coast as our backdrop, Tristan proposed. It was a beautiful day, and the surprise made it even more memorable. And that’s our story. Filled with love, challenges, and unforgettable moments, we look forward to the future and all the adventures it will bring.

Attire: semi-formal Weather: High 72, Low 51 Our colors are neutral/pastels This means wearing something stylish and sophisticated. For men, think dress pants and a nice shirt, or even a suit if you prefer. For women, a cocktail dress or a dressy skirt and top would be perfect. Please avoid flip flops and shorts, as we're aiming for an elegant atmosphere. Thank you for helping us make our special day beautiful!
