On September 3, 2021, Destin and Xzavier met when they attended a Pride festival in Atlanta with one of their mutual friends. They exchanged phone numbers. Destin—an Illinois native, and Xzavier—a Colorado native, spent two years maintaining their friendship over the phone and occasionally seeing each other in person. For one of those occasions, Xzavier flew to Chicago to visit his friends and see Beyoncé’s performance at Soldier Field during her 2023 Renaissance World Tour. On July 23rd, Destin and Xzavier shared a special moment at the Beyoncé concert when they told their friends they felt like they were soulmates. The following month, Xzavier returned to the Midwest to begin his military career at the Great Lakes Naval Base, just 2 miles away from Destin’s home in North Chicago, IL. Unable to access his phone, he exchanged letters with Destin while in basic training. On September 3, 2023, Destin received a phone call from an unfamiliar number. Assuming it was spam, he almost blocked it, but decided to answer it when curiosity got the best of him. Xzavier was on the other end. In an emotional outburst, he asked Destin to come to his graduation ceremony after admitting that he loved him. Destin came, and Xzavier embraced him with open arms, vowing never to let go of him. Now, in September of 2025, Xzavier and Destin are getting married, and they want YOU to celebrate with them!
