It all started in Bali, back in August 2022 — a meeting that felt like fate. Right time, right place, and somehow, the universe brought us together. What began as light-hearted chats over WhatsApp soon turned into something more. One meeting became many, and before we knew it, we were crossing oceans between Indonesia and Australia, building a story we never expected but always hoped for.
After a year of love, laughter, and long-distance flights, we began dreaming of a future together — one home, one life. Conversations turned into plans, and in February 2024, Luke flew to Manado to meet Dessi’s family and ask for their blessing. With hearts aligned and blessings received, we returned to Bali in August 2024 — the place where it all began. There, surrounded by the island’s magic, we sealed the deal. He proposed, and without hesitation, I said yes. It was the beginning of forever.
On this date, we said "I do" in an intimate ceremony in Martinsville, Australia — a day filled with joy, laughter, and so much love. And now, we’re back in Bali, celebrating this new chapter with all of you — our beloved friends and family. Thank you for being part of our journey. Your presence here means the world to us.
4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Semi-Formal: Suits and gowns are welcome, and so are white shirts and cocktail dresses. Think of a beach boho wedding, bali hot and humid weather, and maybe a little bit of sand. Heels may be fine, but if you like extra comforts, sandals or low heels would be the best option. Extra information, visit FAQ.
There will be light bites and drinks served by the waitress while you can catch up with each other after the ceremony. Don't forget to take lots of pictures!
6:00 pm - 9:30 pm
Please come on time as it will be seated arrangement ^^
It's a buffet dinner, ranging from vegan to pork (extra information on FAQ). We will provide meal box for those who are more comfortable with certified halal food. Please make sure you have submitted this information in the form. https://forms.office.com/r/UT9t9N4Xyi
9:30 pm - 11:00 pm
It's a party time!!! Beer is provided, but BYO for other alcohol for extra madness.
Yes, it's a semi formal attire. Girls, you're welcome to wear gowns, cocktail dress, summer/beach dress, as long as it falls into these color palettes: champagne, soft pink, and salmon. A slight color difference won't really matter. We might be stepping into the sand (it's a hard sand) a little bit, and the dinner venue is on the grass, so wear what's comfortable for you, but I won't recommend a stiletto. Boys, you're welcome to wear shirts with linen pants, suits, or even tuxes. Light color would be preferrable, but the classic black and white will be fine too.
Please RSVP no later than May 14th, we need to arrange the seatings.
Your presence is already a big gift to us! Currently we don't have any registry or needs for presents, but if you wish to give us something, you can still bring it to the wedding or you can transfer to: Indonesian Bank Bank BCA: an Dessi A Elisabeth Br Ginting, 4971363422 Bank BNI: an Dessi A Elisabeth Br Ginting, 0267412148 Australian Bank Commonwealth bank, Acct Name Luke B Blagden and Dessi A Ginting, BSB 062 806 Acct Number 1057 4537
Ceremony starts at 4 pm, I'd suggest you arrive a bit earlier to accommodate time for parking and traffics. The path to the villa is a bit narrow and traffics might build up.
Obviously yups!! Make sure you put your date's name correctly in the form so we can arrange the seating correctly. Here it's again: https://forms.office.com/r/UT9t9N4Xyi
Yes, you can bring your kids with you. And if you need a baby chair, please let us know through the form. Here it is again https://forms.office.com/r/UT9t9N4Xyi
There is, but you might have to walk a bit from the parking to the venue. I'd suggest to do car-pooling or use online taxis (and better rent a car with a driver)
The foods for both canape and dinner will not be certified "halal", despite the cooking of the pork is done in a different area and by different chefs. We couldn't guarantee the halal of the food and in fact we'll have Bigul/pork served for dinner (will be served in a different stall and provided by a vendor). Hence, we prepared an option to get you a halal meal box for the dinner, that will be served in your table during reception, so you can ensure that the meal and cutleries are from halal source. If you need this halal meal, please input them in the forms.
