Our Story
Desmond and Chanel met on the campus of Morgan State University, in 2009. Although just friends at the time, life took them on separate paths for the next few years. In 2017, Desmond reached out to Chanel, as the New England Patriots were playing the Atlanta Falcons, in the Superbowl. At the time, Desmond was living in Georgia, and was an avid fan of the Pittsburg Steelers. You can imagine Chanel’s confusion. Desmond and Chanel texted back and forth all night, as Desmond threw low blows and talked a whole lot of trash for someone whose team was sitting at home. Desmond made Chanel a bet that if the Patriots won the game he would call her and apologize. Chanel never received a call that night. It wasn’t until the next day Desmond would call and eat his words. The rest was history.

HOW TO ACCESS THE VENUE Once you arrive at the gate, at the address 1250 Slocum street, go through the gate, make a left, and continue to the end of the parking lot. Level Two is located on the second floor at the top of the stairs. ATTIRE Color: We are requesting all of our guests to dress in all black Black Tie Attire: Floor-length gowns or formal cocktail dresses, tuxes or suits with black neckties or bow ties At the Bride and Groom's request, we would like to invite our guests to wear their favorite sneakers to compliment their all black attire. Question
What happens if I do not RSVP in time?
Answer
Our vendors require us to provide head counts by a certain date. Any unanswered RSVPs will be counted as “no.”
Question
What time should I arrive to the ceremony?
Answer
We request that our guests arrive between 6pm and 6:25pm. For the convenience of our vendors, please do not arrive before 5:45pm, to give them time and space for all preparations.

Is there Parking at the Venue?
Answer
Yes! Parking for the venue is gated and complimentary. The venue is approximately 5 minutes away from the hotel. We recommend guests use Uber or Lyft services for transportation, as we are having an open bar and want everyone to get back safely!

Do I need to bring cash for the Bar?
Answer
The drinks are on us for the night! Please remember to bring cash to tip the bartenders!

Does the Hotel have parking?
Answer
The hotel offers valet parking. If you reserve your room using our group rate the valet is also discounted. ON THE DAY OF THE WEDDING, PLEASE BE SURE TO REQUEST YOUR CAR FROM VALET AT LEAST ONE HOUR BEFORE YOU ARE PREPARED TO LEAVE FOR THE CEREMONY. We highly recommend using Uber or Lyft for your trip.

Can I bring a Plus One?

Plus Ones have already been attached to applicable guest invites. If your invitation does not specifically include a Plus One, we have not made Plus One accommodations for you. Names of Plus One Guests have already been included on the guest list. Any guest whose name is not on the RSVP guest list will not be allowed in.

This is an Adults-Only event. We have not made arrangements with our venue to accommodate children.

Will I be allowed into the ceremony if I am late?
Answer
While we do understand that things happen, once our ceremony has started and the Officiant takes the aisle, guests will not be allowed to enter. Guests will be requested to wait outside until the conclusion of the ceremony. The Mr. and Mrs. will be happy to see you during cocktail Hour and for the Reception!
