Ashley Lind comes from Vancouver, WA, and Nick de Ru is a long-time resident of Oak Harbor, WA. They met at ABIDE Reformed Adult Retreat in Sumas, Washington on Labor Day weekend of 2024. They got to know each other for four months before God decided they needed a break for seven months to sort themselves out. Then in August of last year God brought them back together! They have enjoyed sailing, hiking, longboarding, traveling, and cooperating in projects. They plan to have Christ as the center of their marriage and to make serving others a key focus of their relationship. God has opened the door for them to live in Oak Harbor for the time being, but don’t be surprised if you see pictures of them together in all corners of the globe.
