You are invited! We hope to see you for a week of fun.
We met in 2019 in Salt Lake City, Utah. That year had brought a series of unexpected changes, and one of them led Derrick to relocate to Salt Lake. As fate would have it, we both ended up working at the same jewelry store. What started as coworkers quickly turned into friendship, and that friendship blossomed into something much more. We started spending time together outside of work—grabbing food, going on walks, sharing stories—and before we knew it, we were inseparable. Things moved quickly for us, and yes, we jumped in headfirst. We moved in together not long after meeting, and looking back, it was one of the boldest and best decisions we’ve made. From the beginning, there was a connection between us that just felt right. We clicked effortlessly, like two puzzle pieces that had been waiting to find each other. Then, in 2020, the world changed. The COVID-19 pandemic hit, and like so many others, we were both laid off from our jobs. It was a difficult moment, but it also gave us time to reflect. We began dreaming of something new—something different. So, we took a leap of faith, packed our things, and moved across the country to Florida. We didn’t know exactly what was waiting for us, but we knew we had each other, and that was enough. The move turned into a journey we’ll never forget. It was exciting, full of new experiences, new places, and new people. But it was also challenging—testing our patience, our strength, and our bond. Through it all, we held on to one another, learned how to grow together, and how to support each other even on the days that weren’t so easy. Over the years, we’ve been lucky enough to meet incredible people and make lifelong friends in different places across the country. Every city, every home, every moment along the way added to the story that brought us here—to this moment. Today, we are back where it all started. And after everything we’ve shared, everything we’ve learned, and everything we’ve built together, we’ve decided it’s time to take the next step in our journey. We’re getting married! This celebration is not just about us—it’s about all the moments that shaped us and all the people who have supported us through it all. We are so lucky to be able to celebrate our love surrounded by the people who mean the most to us. We truly can’t wait to have you there with us on this special day. Your presence will make our wedding even more meaningful, and we’re so excited to share this next chapter of our story with you. With all our love, Derrick & Ray
