We met my first year and his second year of grad school. Our friend groups would go out so we’d see each other from time to time. One particular night I decided I was gonna go for it since my friends kept telling me that girls can shoot their shot too. I was terrified lol but tried anyways. I did my BEST flirting all night. I’m talking the hand on his arm, laughing at his jokes even if they weren’t funny type of flirting. He thought I was just being nice 😑 He was walking my friend’s and I to our car when I told him to let me see his phone so I can put my number in it since he hasn’t asked me for it. The rest is history 🤍

So boom. I'm hanging out with the boys. We're playing basketball and one of my boys are like "Aye let's go to the pool party that the 1st years are going to. There's a 1st year that i'm talking to." I'm like "Ight bet. I'm tryna play some volleyball too but i'm not going for nothing serious." So we go pull up to the function and we start conversing with everyone that we knew there. Then my boy goes, "There's the girl I was talking about over there." I said "Ight coo imma chill back here and talk with so and so." Then I see a young lady who I knew had interest in me but I had no interest in her so I turned the other way and speed walked to the volleyball court. There I get into playing next game where I ended up playing my first of many volleyball games with who is now the love of my life. We're playing, chatting it up, talking trash then my friend's little situationship came up and was like "hey this is my friend." So then my boy came over and the girls invited us to go to Broadway with them later that night. I went with the intension of being a wingman and DD because my boy for sure can't hold his liquor and I ain't tryna get an uber for the both of us. So we're chilling hangout then all of us sudden this girl is just in my face yappin yappin yappin. I had a lil happy juice in my system so i'm just yappin yappin yappin. Next thing we knew everybody that was in the group floats to their lil corners talking and carrying on. It gets to the point when the bar is about to close so we carry on the conversation outside. Then this lil pushy PT, AT, OT (I ain't know what she was) said "give me your phone" and so I did. She put her number in my phone and then while I was playing basketball with the boys the next day, I shot her a message. (After getting some recon help from my patna's situationship). We went on our first date the next day.
