Athens International Airport is a large airport that is accessible from many locations! Athens International Airport is the airport needed to fly into. The airport is about 30 minutes from the venue. For guests flying out of the New Jersey/ Pennsylvania area, cheaper flights are usually found flying out of Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). If you are in need for a layover, to get out and stretch, stopping in Paris at Charles-De-Gaulle (CDH) airport as well as London Heathrow International (LHR) are the typical layover spots to get to Athens.

Lake Voulagmeni
Take a cab to this lake just surrounding Athens! The beautiful views are a must see, maybe including taking a dip to cool off! The area around the lake is great for hiking, biking and photo opts!

ASAP! Passports take a while to get. It could be up to a 2 month wait for them to be delivered. If you are renewing your passport it takes less time.

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?
Answer
The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception is all outside. The ceremony and reception are extremely close to each other. Please check the weather and pack appropriately, a pashmina for the ladies might be necessary as it gets later in the night.

What area should we stay in?
Answer
Our wedding is in the Athenian Riviera. We encourage our guests to stay in that area along with the Vouliagmeni area of Athens as those are the closest areas to the venue, but staying anywhere in Athens is okay as well!

Should I rent a car?
Answer
If you are staying in proximity of the Athenian Riviera, taxi or the "Free Now" app would be sufficient. However, if you plan to explore Greece a rental car might be beneficial!

Is it best to take cash or card to Greece?
Answer
Major tourist areas in Greece, like Athens, are mostly cash free and will accept credit/ debit card payments. There are plenty of ATM's all over Greece, if you want to withdraw EURO. Check with your bank to see if your bank allows a certain number of withdraws without being charged the ATM fee. Also, call your bank to let them know you are traveling out of the country! The current exchange rate is 1USD = .91 EURO as of June 2023.
