Jennifer and Derek became friends in 2009 when they started out as co-workers who shared a passion for serving the disability community of Austin.  What started as a friendship based on mutual interests, (Jennifer invited Derek to hike with her and Derek invited Jennifer to a movie at the Drafthouse) turned into a cautious approach at dating. They soon realized their lives were destined to become permanently intertwined.  As their families combined, and an ever-growing network of friends grew larger, together they tackled life’s twists and turns as a team of two. They became a trio when they welcomed Missy the labradoodle in 2021.  Now they can’t wait to celebrate their special day with their nearest and dearest!
