How We Met
The date was circa June 2018 and it was the perfect time to embark on a road trip. Denise and her crew were already formed and there was an extra opening for one more person to join the fun. It just so happened that Aundre was able to make the trip for a much needed vacation from work. Denise was the organizer for the trip and she and Aundre were complete strangers up until their chance to meet each other in the rental car. It was quite the ride traveling throughout Florida along the southeast USA. Of course, Aundre remained silent for a majority of the ride. Once the crew reached their destination we knew it would be a great time. The sun was shining bright, the skies were clear and you could smell scent of pastries from Cafe Du Monde; it was an amazing time to be in New Orleans. Ever since we met, we united on common interests and our Jamaican heritage. We continued to bond on increasing likeness. The trip comprised of a series of events including tours, restaurants and exhibits. The warmth from that time of year translated to a sizzling trip and the fire that we created from the time we met has grown into a loving relationship that has lasted years. It all started on a summer road trip and we continue to drive on.

I remember the day so vividly, a summer day right before we started 7th grade. Denise had just moved to the United States, our parents made sure we were friends and scheduled a hang out for us to prep for our return to school. We transformed into fashionistas that day, playing dress-up and giggling as we picked out our 1st day outfits. I still cherish the photos we took that day that captured our joy, it’s a visual reminder of our blossoming and everlasting friendship. From that moment, I knew Denise was destined to be my best friend. As I reflect on those times, I’m also grateful for Denise and Aundré’s union, their relationship is constant reflection of joy and love. I wish them many years of continuous happiness in their marriage!

My name is Joshua Dorbu and I met Dre in 2011 while completing undergrad at the University of Florida. We found that we had much in common and pursued many of the same interests. Through those connections, and the many great times, we became great friends and life-long ones. We have had several fond memories throughout the years. However, I'd say the most salient was our group road trip to New Orleans. It was one of our first trips together as adults, but the most memorable was that it was the trip that Dre and Denise first met. I wish you both a lifetime of love, happiness, and endless blessings. Continue to love and support each other and always strive to have fun in this adventure with each other, no matter what obstacles you may face. You two are destined for incredible things together. Fun, vibrant, smart. This sums up 3-incredible years with Denise. 2015-2018 Denise and I were housemates right after undergrad at UF. A time in our prime. We were still young enough to hit the college party scene, had small bills and responsibilities, and we had bodies sculpted by Jillian Michaels. The best time of life! We also served our community through our sorority Sigma Gamma Rho and as advisors for our young sorors all. While both starting our careers. Denise helped plan my engagement with my husband, Jimmie. Marriage is an elevated moment in for two people in their journey of life. It’s a partnership the required work EVERYDAY. The best part is you have someone who will always be there for you through the ups and downs. I know Denise is ride or die and I’m overjoyed she has found these same qualities in Aundre. I wish them a couple lifetimes of pure and joyful bliss!

I am Craig and Aundre is my nephew. My fondest memory of my nephew was years ago before we migrated to the US, when we lived in Jamaica. I remember vividly, when I walked Aundre to basic school (pre-kindergarten). Furthermore, I distinctly remember young Aundre, he had a very kind disposition and he was very opinionated to say the least. I’ve always been intrigued to learn his personality and aspired to be in his company. I truly cherish the time that I have spent with my nephew and I wish him all the best in this new stage of his life. I believe Denise is a great match for my nephew and I look forward to watching them mature together. I wish them all the best in their marriage.

I met Denise in high school, 10th grade year while secretly listening and laughing as she and another classmate were speaking patois. Since then, I’ve been blessed to call her a close friend. She’s always there to give you the raw truth even when you don’t want it, but definitely when you need it. Some of my fondest memories with Denise were the trips that we’ve taken, the most memorable being Niagara Falls, and going on the maid of the mist. I know that her and Aundre becoming one means I’ll lose a travel partner, and I know that Aundre will be the best travel partner for their journey ahead. I pray that God will be at center of their relationship, and will lead the way for them to be prosperous and that they will see each other through the hills and the valleys of their lives .

I am Stephen and also one of Aundre's uncles. I've known Aundre since he was a baby. I had the pleasure to watch him mature to be young man that he is today, whom I'm very proud of and glad to be his uncle. I remember going out with Aundre to different parties. I really enjoyed those moments, he knows how to enjoy himself; he's fully of vibes like we always say. It is never a dull moment when hanging out with him and I'll always cherish those moments. I just want to wish Aundre and Denise all the best as they journey to their new lives as husband and wife. May God strengthen the bond that you both share. I fervently hope that you both will love, honor, and support each other in every single way. If you both are dedicated to each other, then this will be easier to achieve. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing this beautiful bride to be for the last six years. I remember the day we met like it was yesterday…we were preparing for interview day for medical school, and…and I can already feel Denise saying “Here she goes again with this story.” She absolutely crushed it like a boss and I was like, okay she’s going to be an insane physician! Ain’t no way I’m getting in! Lol Who would’ve thought we would end up in the same program and this same woman would be my ride or die throughout medical school. Denise I feel so lucky to have witnessed some of the milestones of your life, and being here, witnessing your union to this lovely man, is the biggest and most beautiful.

I always looked forward to summers and one of the biggest reasons was enjoying them was the memories I made with my older sister when visiting Florida. The days we spent picking up movies from Red Box and adventures to the Lion Country Safari. One of my favorite memories is dropping her off at college and seeing such a major stage in her life. I was in awe of her then and I continue to be in awe of her today. She has been one of my biggest role models and I am forever grateful to call her my big sister. I cannot wait to see her walk down the aisle to the man of her dreams but above all, I wish endless happiness and effortless love for the years to come.

I am Jason Campbell and I have had the pleasure of being Aundre’s younger brother. My fondest memory of Aundre was when we used to visit the park to play basketball. My brother was a novice at basketball, he barely made any layups or shots. However, I know my brother is extremely determined and from then on he practiced diligently when we went to the park. Now my brother moves forward to another chapter of his life. I wish nothing but the best for him and Denise as they embark on a future together in marriage. I truly believe they are great for each other and wish them may happy and prosperous years together.

My fondest memory of Denise is when we went to get Pho together my junior year of high school. It was the first time I’d driven her around and the first time we’d actually hung out one on one. We had a great time catching up and talking about our lives. I’m so happy to see her get married and I hope we’ll get Pho again and talk some more!!

I am Barrington Price and I have had the privilege of calling Aundre my baby brother (although we’re a year apart) and spent most of our formative years together in Jamaica. My favorite memories with Aundre comprises the highlight reel of my childhood. We laughed, played, fought, argued and had our fair share of sibling rivalries as we grew. Even from a young age Aundre had the biggest heart and was so full of light and life. I’ll never forget when he told me about Denise. Especially his excitement as he surreptitiously told me he was going to pop the question. My wish for the happy couple is that they never lose that fervor for each other. May each day spent together bring a sense of adventure and each passing year renew their love and appreciation for each other.
