Kim and Deb's Wedding

3:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Our backyard
63 Twin Oaks Dr., Monterey, CA 93940

Casual Attire: Anything goes, from sundresses and sandals to jeans and tees. There will be a great band so make sure you're wearing your dancing shoes! Also, keep in mind that this is Monterey so you might want to bring a light sweater and/or jacket.

There will be a charcuterie board and a taco bar with options for everyone from vegetarians to carnivores. Wine, beer and Kim's famous Margaritas will also be served.

Travel

Below are a few of our recommendations for out of town guests.

Hotel

The Monterey Hotel

407 Calle Principal, Monterey, CA 93940
 831-375-3184

This is an older hotel right in the center of the downtown scene and within walking distance to some great restaurants as well the wharf. There are two sections, the "Historic" section and the new section. The Historic section has quaint older rooms with fewer amenities and the rooms may be subject to more street noise. The rooms in the newer section have a few more amenities and the rates are sligthtly higher.

Hotel

Days Inn by Wyndham Monterey Downtown

850 Abrego Street, Monterey, CA 93940
 831-649-6353

This property is within easy walking distance to downtown and its amenities as well as the Wharf. The rooms (at least the ones I was shown) have been updated and offer the basic amenties. I recommend this property for reasonably priced rooms in a covenient location. Arjun, the property manager agreed to offer our guests a 10% discount off the published rate if booked directly through them but a better rate may still be available through some of the larger booking sites.

Hotel

Asilomar Hotel and Conference Grounds

800 Asilomar Avenue, Pacific Grove, CA 93950
 888-635-5310

The grounds here are absolutely lovely and next to a beautiful beach for walking. The rooms are a bit dated however. They have two classes of rooms, Historic and renovated. I was shown the renovated and still found the bathrooms to be dated while the room itself was lovely with the basic amenities. If you are looking for a retreat like setting near the beach, this place is ideal.

Hotel

Casa Munras Garden Hotel & Spa

700 Munras Avenue, Monterey, CA 93940
 831-375-2411

Convenient to downtown and not far from the Wharf. Nice restaurant attached to the hotel.

Things To Do

Big Sur River Inn

46800 California 1, Big Sur, CA 93920

On Sunday we are hoping to drive down the coast to Big Sur and our favorite spot there, the Big Sur River Inn.

Monterey Bay Aquarium

886 Cannery Row, Monterey, CA 93940

On Monday, for those who can remain in town, we suggest visiting the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
