FAQs

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Whatever feels equal parts celebratory and comfortable to dance in.

Question

Will there be food?

Answer

We don't believe in drinking on an empty stomach. There will be a casual dinner and dessert, with gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian options.

Question

What's the deal with parking?

Answer

You can find free street parking near Permanent Records, but why worry about it? We recommend taking a Lyft/Uber so you can fully enjoy your evening.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We love them, but not this time around please.

Question

Where's the afterparty?

Answer

If you'd like to keep the party going after midnight, we recommend Club Tee Gee (fun dive bar with dancing) in Atwater Village or Hi Tops (gay bar, also with dancing) in Los Feliz. Both are a quick ~10 minute Lyft/Uber ride from Permanent Records.

Travel

Festivities will take place on the eastside, far from the beach but close to beautiful hikes and walkable neighborhoods. There are plenty of homes available on Airbnb near us in Los Feliz. We also recommend Atwater Village, Silverlake, Echo Park, or Highland Park. For affordable hotels, try Glendale. For a splurge, check out the Cara Hotel in Los Feliz or look in Downtown LA. Our biggest tip — fly into Burbank if you can! Its a joy of an airport, everything LAX is not. Unless you're making a long weekend of it, you'll be fine taking Lyfts or Ubers. If you're staying longer, a rental car will make it easier to explore.
