Back in July of 2022 my roommate, Fran and I were getting ready to go to our friend’s wedding. She looked at me and said, “You could find your husband today!!” I disregarded her comment not wanting to get my hopes up. At the wedding I spotted a pretty dapper looking man. I thought he was very handsome but I had no way to start a conversation. Throughout the night we ended up noticing each other quite a lot. It felt like if we were in a room together there was some kind of eye contact going on between us. When the dancing started that night I didn’t know how to approach him so when I saw the bride I asked if he was available. The groom overheard and offered to introduce us! (A wingman on his own wedding night!) He walked up to Alex and a minute later Alex walked right up to me and we ended up talking for the rest of the night. I ended up asking for his number and the rest is history! :)

Going to my close friend Dave's wedding back in 2022, I had no expectations whatsoever to meet anyone that I would end up dating, let alone marrying. After the ceremony, I stuck with my friend Alex, and we mingled with the other wedding guests. During this time, I found myself making frequent eye contact with a girl in a black dress. Later in the night, once everyone was dancing, the newly wed Dave came up to me on the dance floor, and told me that a mystery girl was standing next to his wife, Deb, and that she wanted to know if I wanted to talk to her. Accepting the invitation, I danced over to Daysha and introduced myself. We hit it off and exchanged phone numbers at the end of the night.

One of our first dates was watching the sun rise at Windy Hill in south Reno before dropping Alex off at the airport to fly back to Arizona. On Christmas Eve Alex proposed on the same hill before celebrating with family.
