It all started at a Christmas sweater party. Although my sweater wasn’t exactly Christmas-themed, it somehow caught the attention of Mr. Johnson. I can speak for both of us when I say that ever since that night, we’ve been inseparable—from weekend dates, to getting through COVID, to launching big endeavors together. In fact, the COVID years allowed us to grow even closer, because at times, all we had was each other. I always asked Davin, "When did you know you were sure about us?" And he said—and I quote—“When you oiled and massaged my hair, I knew right then you were the one.” As for me, I knew Davin was the one when, no matter where I was, he would travel for hours to see me—even if it was only for 30 minutes. Any time he could get, he made sure I was a priority. As time went on, we faced our share of challenges while building our future together. But through it all, loving each other throughout every experience has shown us that we can truly depend on one another. When one of us feels unsure, the other is always there to remind them: anything worth having is worth fighting for.

The farewell brunch is a relaxed and cheerful gathering held the day after the wedding—a final chance to unwind, share stories, and say goodbye. Guests can enjoy a spread of breakfast favorites, fresh fruit, pastries, coffee, mimosas, and maybe even a few local Jamaican dishes. It’s a come-as-you-are atmosphere, with casual or resort wear encouraged. Expect easy conversation, light music, and a warm send-off as the celebration comes to a close.

Maid of Honor
My sister from a different mister. From day one, Imani and I connected—like, instantly. We were introduced, and then literally spent almost every day together after that. I can thank her for so many things: for holding me accountable, always telling me the truth (even when she knows it might hurt), for being genuine in her delivery, and most of all, for simply loving me for who I am. There’s so much more I could say, but for all these reasons (and so many more), she is my maid of honor—my sister, my person, my heart.
Best Man
Jordan has been the definition of A1 since day one. We’ve practically known each other our entire lives—our families are close, and we even went to the same elementary school. But it wasn’t until high school that our friendship really took off. We bonded through our shared passion for track & field, and along the way, discovered that we have almost identical hobbies and interests. Fast forward to today, and we’re inseparable—there have even been stretches where we willingly saw each other every single day. I know, total bromance energy—and that’s exactly what it is. Jordan is the brother I never had, and just like our matching tattoos, I’ll always be the left wing to his right wing. Let’s keep flying, bro.
Best Man
BJ Bestman BJ is my Main! For those of you that don’t game, having a main is having that one person that you can always rely on in ANY situation. I couldn’t think of a better way to describe BJ. Although we grew up together in the same town and always knew of each other we didn’t really get to know each other until High School. Those years we spent on the track together chasing records and goals really set the tone for us. We both want to see each other win and will push each other to make sure it is done. Then after the hard work is done we can laugh and have a good time. I’ll never forget all the rides home after track that he offered me even though he would pass his own home to drop me off. It definitely gave us plenty more time for our friendship to grow, and I’m so thankful for this bond. I truly believe I would be a shell of myself if it weren’t for BJ’s influence. BJ took this shy quiet kid and showed him that being your true authentic self is not only ok, but it will attract people to you who truly value you for who you are. That is my favorite part of BJ, he is who he is and makes no apologies for it whether you like it or not. His unwavering support in my life through good times and bad has carried me through adulthood. If I was struggling in a relationship he was there, if I needed encouragement in track he was there, if i needed a confidence boost he reminded me who I was, and if I was in a tough spot he’d get me out. I love you Beej, you’re my brother for life!
