Where will the reception be?

Answer

The reception will be held at the Sloan Museum of Discovery which is walking distance from the planetarium (500 ft). You may want to plan on parking at the Sloan and walking to the Planetarium so your car will be closer when you leave the reception. You are welcome to park in either lot. The address for the Sloan is 1221 E. Kearsley Street Flint MI 48503

What's for dinner?

Answer

We are having BBQ catered from Jack's Roadside BBQ in nearby Davisburg, MI. There will be pulled pork, brisket, jerk chicken (could be a little spicy), ribs, mac and cheese, baked beans, roasted potatoes, cornbread and salad. There will also be a charcuterie board available prior to dinner while the wedding party are taking their glamour shots.

What if I have a dietary restriction?

Refer to the 'What's for Dinner' FAQ. If there isn't something in there to meet your needs, please let Dave or Amber know sooner than later and we will do our best to accommodate you.

There will be an open bar and soft drinks and water.

I really can't bring my kids?

Answer

Reach out to Dave or Amber. We are expecting to make a few exceptions, but are trying to stick to our estimated count for attendees. Our children will be there but they've seen us drunk before and can take a few f-bombs in music without gasping.

Will there be entertainment?

Answer

Yes, we will have a DJ. Feel free to send Dave or Amber song suggestions. We will have a mix of 70's til now. There will also be a photobooth.

Any specific do's or don'ts to be aware of?

Do: Mute your phone during the ceremony. Do: Have a good time. Do: Be respectful of the Planetarium and Museum's property.

Can we take our own pictures?

Answer

Sure. Please do not get in the way of the professional photographer that we have hired. They have specific experience in taking pictures inside the planetarium. You may not get the best shots in there any way. We would prefer you to be in the moment during the ceremony, but you do you.

Do you have a registry?

Answer

No, your presence is enough of a gift. Feel free to bring a card. Should you wish to give a monetary gift toward our honeymoon that would be appreciated but not expected.
