I used to belong to a dance crew💃 in Auchi called Heroes Dance Crew and in 2013, we had an event in which we were going to perform. Despite having an injury during rehearsals, I still traveled with the crew for that event because I told myself that I must still dance. 😄LOL... I guess God just wanted me to meet my husband because who travels to dance after having an injury? Well, we arrived at the location for our first performance and there I sighted my husband-to-be for the first time before our crew headed over to the house of our host, a fellow crew member who happens to be the relative of Daniel. It wasn't a jolly meeting when we saw each other at first. I thought to myself "who is this slim guy that is just boning his face anyhow sef?😕 And on his part he was thinking " so this is the girl that they said is coming, whom we were all asked to steer clear from because she will be our guest?" loool 🤣you guessed right. All the guys in the house were asked to be good hosts but most importantly not try playing around with me. But guess who disobeyed that order..... My husband-to-be. As a sharp Warri boy, he codedly came to ask for my 2GO chat username📲 a day before our dance crew left the town and I gave it to him because I found him to be interesting and mysterious. Our friendship kicked off from 2GO chat before we moved to Facebook and we grew to become best of friends in every sense of the word. Fortunately, it happened that we ended up to be schooling in Ambrose Ali University, and It was not until years later that he asked me to be his girlfriend. I agreed just so we can see where the relationship takes us, there were no expectations or promises of heaven and earth, just pure friendship and more of 'let's just see how it goes'..... Lol But that was just the beginning of a beautiful journey of friendship, love and partnership. I mean, look at where we are today, the step we are taking. As they say, the rest is history.

Omo! We started out as just friends 👩🏼‍🤝‍🧑🏼, we did the friendship thing for years even before we decided to give the ship you see today more commitment. Her spiritual life grew and this was one reason of course aside her awesome personality that made me ask for a more committed relationship. Marriage wasn't in view then but as weeks turned to months and months turned into years I began to see a future with my Achalugo.🥰 During my first degree graduation years ago, she and some fellowship members visited my hostel to pray and congratulate me, during the prayers I had to open my eyes to take a peek at how she was cabashing (praying earnestly) and praying in eloquent tongues. 😄 Aya! Retta, as I fondly call her, gives me peace and zero pressure; she's understanding, supportive, caring, prayerful, and so fun to be with. She's resilient, always open to listen, learn, unlearn, and relearn. This ship left the dockyard in the name of the Lord, and has kept sailing for years and this time we are about to take on a flight to forever.

Who would have thought my unexpected 2go padi would be my partner for life? 😄 All these years Daniel has cheered me to grow and I can boldly say I found a friend in Daniel. One who is kind, one who is intentional and indeed a partner. It has been a beautiful sail and I can't wait to do life with you ☺️ Over and over again, I will still choose to walk this path with you. 🌹🥂
