We've reserved a hotel block for your convenience at Nationwide Hotel & Conference Center. More information is listed in the Travel section. If that isn't your preference, there are a number of other hotels and AirBNBs in the area. We recommend you book accommodations in the northwest quadrant of the city (north of 70, west of 71, within or not far outside of the 270 outer belt), as that is where our venue is.
Private transportation is recommended for this event as the venue is not accessible by public transportation. From Nationwide Hotel & Conference Center, the best route is to take 315 S. Take exit 7, turn left onto Olentangy River Road, right onto W Henderson Road, left onto Kenny Road, right onto Windham Road, and turn left into the venue, which is just past the school. There is a street sign with Carriage Hill Lane and Windham Road at the entrance to the parking lot.
Yes, there is a ramp from the parking lot to the sidewalk, all outdoor routes are paved, and there are no stairs at the venue.
Parking is available at no cost directly in front of the venue.
Cocktail attire is requested or smart casual. Please, no athletic wear. As we'll be having a short ceremony outdoors, a shawl, sweater or jacket is recommended. If the weather does not permit an outdoor ceremony, we will move it indoors.

Please let us know ahead of time so we can make arrangements for you. Once you reach the head of the buffet line, let the caterer know that you requested a vegetarian, gluten free, or kid's meal, etc. and they will serve you an individual plate.
Complimentary bar service will be available during cocktail hour and will continue until 30 minutes before the reception ends. The bar will offer a limited selection of beer, wine, and standard mixers and liquors for cocktails. For everyone's safety, if you feel too intoxicated to drive, please consider leaving your car overnight and arranging a safe ride home. If you plan to leave your car overnight at the venue for any reason, please let the venue staff know before you leave so they can notify the city and ensure your vehicle isn't towed.

This was our first date, where Finn learned that Irene almost exclusively drinks moscato wine. We shared a Poquito moscato with our meal here, and now we drink one together every year on the anniversary of our first date. The Spanish-themed menu is perfect for sharing, making Barcelona (and its coveted patio) a beloved celebration spot where friends can gather over tapas, platters of paella and pitchers of sangria. Tapas occupy nearly two-thirds of the menu, complementing the extensive selection of Spanish wines and creative cocktails. The patio's lush collection of potted plants and climbing vines, gurgling water features and strands of twinkling, tin-punched lanterns provide a welcome oasis. Inside, Barcelona’s vibe is warmer and louder, its cavernous interior decorated in bright colors, plentiful art and sheer curtains draped from high ceilings for a bit of privacy.
German restaurant located in a historic brick livery stable in German Village, known for its authentic food and vibrant atmosphere that pays tribute to German culture. They serve original German dishes like Alpine Chicken Spatzel and Weiner Schnitzel und Gravy. Their signature sausage is the Bahama Mama. They are famous for their decadent jumbo cream puffs. Irene loves the pumpkin cream puff best. The restaurant has a banquet haus upstairs and they feature live German music Thursday through Saturday. You may need a reservation. Schmidt's Fudge Haus is next door. They have a wonderful candy selection featuring gourmet Belgian chocolates and sell homemade fudge. We recommend the triple dipped chocolate malt balls. The Red Door is a nearby shop with unique gifts, cuckoo clocks, nutcrackers, steins, souvenirs, Christmas merchandise and more. If you visit all three, you could lose a whole evening eating and shopping.
The Old Mohawk has been open since 1933 and has been serving turtle soup for over 70 years. Some say the soup tastes like chicken and pork. It has a cozy, historic, and trendy atmosphere with a varied menu that offers vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. Anything you get there will be good, but Finn recommends the Mother Mohawk sandwich.
Unique independent book shop with 32 rooms of books in German Village, next to Stauf's Coffee Roasters. It resides in Pre-Civil War era buildings, giving it the historical charm that brings people to the center of Columbus. When visiting, allow plenty of time to browse a store that stretches a city block long. Book Loft is a labyrinth of literary treasures and there are lots of stairs. Irene can spend an entire afternoon here looking at books, then grab some coffee at Stauf's.
Dueling Axes is one of the only axe throwing facilities in the country with private throwing lanes where your safety training and 1-on-1 coaching take place before your reservation time starts. Full service bar with a lounge atmosphere. Choose to throw axes or knives. Their unique Axe Arcade scoring system allows you to play League Style, Individual, and Lane vs. Lane to prove who is the best axe thrower. We had a great time when we went. It turns out the best axe thrower is Finn's best man Anna!

Schnitzel, bratwurst, pretzels, spätzle, burgers, bier and cream puffs. What more could you want? Hofbrauhaus brews its bier on-site every day using original recipes handed down by the Duke of Bavaria over 400 years ago. Their biers are crafted in the Munich tradition, strictly according to the German Purity Law “Reinheitsgebot” using only hops, malt and water. It's all wrapped up in a vibrant environment modeled after the legendary 400+ year-old Hofbräuhaus in Munich, Germany, with authentically decorated rooms, live music and a festive atmosphere sure to please guests of all ages!
Jeni's is known for its creative and innovative flavor combinations, often inspired by art, history, and pop culture. While Jeni's ice cream is made in the Philadelphia style (meaning it doesn't contain eggs, relying solely on the richness of high-quality dairy), Jeni herself is native to Columbus. There are multiple locations in the city. Jeni started making ice cream in 1996 and opened her first shop in Columbus's North Market in 2002. The market is a centuries-old public market. Jeni's ice cream is known for its smooth texture, bright flavors, and buttercream body. Their focus is on high-quality, locally sourced ingredients like grass-fed milk from family-run dairies, fresh fruits and vegetables, and Fair Trade chocolate. Irene recommends: wildberry lavender, sweet cream biscuits & peach jam, brambleberry crisp, and salty caramel. Finn recommends: milkiest chocolate, strawberry buttermilk, goat cheese with red cherries, and Mexican hot chocolate.
One of the oldest coffee roasters in Columbus, Ohio, known for its in-house roasting process, high-quality beans sourced from various origins, making them a beloved local choice for fresh, expertly roasted coffee. Unlike many other coffee shops, Stauf's roasts their own beans, allowing them to carefully control the quality and flavor profile. There are five locations throughout Columbus.

Breakfast with an eclectic Mexican twist. Katalina focuses on local, organic and ethical ingredients sourced from local business partners. We love to eat at Katalina's. This location has lots of seating. Breakfast favorites are pancake balls and Mexican french toast. Don't snooze on the sweet & spicy bacon! For lunch, the Latina sandwich, Holy Tomole Soup, and Elote. If you really want to treat yourself, try the blood orange juice.
Belle's Bread is a family owned bakery offering French-inspired Japanese baked goods. It's located in Japan Marketplace in Kenny Centre. Belle's Bread has the best fruit tarts! Our list of recommendations at Belle's is long, so it's no surprise that they've become quite popular over the years. Fruit tarts, pain au chocolate, strawberry cakes, choco cornets, strawberry chocolate danishes, and chai lattes are our go-to treats on weekends. They have a lot of unique Japanese/French fusion flavors here. Mochi Ring is right around the corner, serving mochi donuts. Mochi is a Japanese rice cake made from glutinous rice, which looks and tastes like a donut. They have unique donut flavors and bubble tea. Japan Marketplace also has a Japanese grocery store, several Japanese restaurants, and J Avenue which has Japanese gifts.
Regional ice cream chain based out of Cincinnati known for its unique French pot process, which results in a dense, smooth, and creamy texture. There are multiple locations throughout the city, but this location (Bethel) is the only one with an indoor kids' playground.
