Once upon a time, a girl named Amara moved to Salinas, CA in 2017. She quickly got to know a boy named Darien, as both of their families attend the same church. However, the two did not quite cross paths as they went to different high schools and Darien was friends with her older brother. In 2021, Darien reached out to Amara and another church friend of theirs to hang out as he felt spiritually prompted to do so. The three spent the rest of their senior year together, up until the friend had to leave for college. Thus leaving Amara and Darien to continue hanging out. After many laughs and authentic conversations... the hangouts turned to dates, and the friendship turned into a loving relationship. On March 20th, 2022 Darien broke "bro code" and made it official with Amara. The two have been inseparable since. On February 2nd, 2025 Darien knelt on one knee and asked Amara if she'd be his best friend for the rest of his life, "Will you marry me?", he says. "Yes!" she replies, and sealed with a kiss. The couple now awaits their Happily Ever After.
