How we met
They met through Bumble, an online dating app, and Darden agreed to go out on a date. She brought 3 of her friends to meet Tristan at Sweet Frog, just in case she needed to run. They hit it off really well and went on a second date to walk his new pup Kauket at the Greenville Greenway. From there, Kauket knew she was the one. But that's not the end of that story. Darden showed Tristan the cutest trucker hat that says "Caution, I will touch your dog" (the proceeds went to shelter dogs) and he said, "That looks like something a kindergartener would wear". So she cut him off. A year went by and Tristan tried to smile at Darden when passing by on campus and she gave him an evil glare. But that didn't stop him. March 2020 Tristan felt like it was the appropriate time to message Darden to reignite their relationship, clearly Kauket had not stopped pestering him. Fast forward, they got another dog (Oakley) and on April 27th, 2024 Tristan made Darden climb up 5 miles of sand dunes to the top of Jockey's Ridge, Outer Banks, and asked her to be his wife.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Parking is located at right across at the venue. Please watch for the signs designated for parking.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Unfortunately, we will not provide transportation to and from the ceremony.

Please let us know if you can attend no later than February 22nd. However, the sooner the better.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Weather permitting, our ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors with the reception following being indoors.
