Formal Attire
Please see our FAQ section of the website for a more in depth description of the dress code, and any other questions you may have. We cannot wait to celebrate with those we love!!!
Flight
If you’re flying into Arizona, we suggest booking your flight to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. While Flagstaff Pulliam Airport is geographically closer, flights tend to be more expensive, and rental car availability is limited and unreliable.
Rental Car
Rideshare (Uber, Lyft) and taxi services in Sedona are extremely limited. To ensure you have the flexibility to explore the stunning red rock scenery on your own and to come and go from our events as needed, we highly recommend renting a car for the weekend!!
Hotel
There is a courtesy room block set up at the following link for our guests convenience. Online: https://www.hilton.com/en/attend-my-event/buckmllermcgowenwedding2026/ By phone: 1-800-438-2929 Group Name: Buckmiller-McGowen Wedding Group Code: BMWL26 Last Day to Reserve Rooms: August 4, 2026 The location of Los Abrigados Resort is great for first time Sedona visitors! There are tons of options in Sedona, however; so please feel free to explore. AirBnBs/VRBOs are also a great option when traveling in a group. See our FAQs section for more info on lodging options!
While we love your littles; our wedding rehearsal, ceremony, and reception will be adults only (18+). We hope you take the opportunity to enjoy a "parent's weekend away"!
Due to limited capacity of our venue, we are only able to accommodate those formally invited. If you received a plus one, or were invited as a family, your invitation will be addressed accordingly and further shown in the RSVP section of our website here. Thank you for understanding!
For our evening wedding, we are requesting a Formal Dress Code. Please take this chance to whip out that outfit you have "nowhere to wear" as overdressed is always better than underdressed! For men, this is suits or button down shirts and dress pants, tie optional. For women, floor-length gowns, elegant cocktails dresses, or dressy jumpsuits are great. This link will take you to a great article that outlines the different attires: https://www.samialynn.com/bridal-blog/dresscodes Keep in mind, there will still be Arizona sun & heat in September in Sedona; averaging about 84 degrees for the time of year. Please note! Our wedding party will be in Terracotta (a burnt orange/copper tone) and either Dusty or Navy Blue (light and dark blue) so, please refrain from wearing these colors and of course, refrain from wearing shades of white.
Please arrive to the Agave of Sedona venue (1146 W. State Route 89A Sedona, AZ 86336) by 4 pm. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 pm.
Rideshare apps are not the most reliable in Sedona. While it may appear that you can order a ride, this isn't always timely or accurate. For your planning purposes and ease of mind, a rental car is the best option for the weekend!
Sedona offers a range of beautiful accommodations, from luxury resorts to cozy vacation rentals. We recommend staying at one of the following hotels, Mid level pricing, close to the Agave: Sky Rock Inn Sky Ranch Lodge Arabella Courtyard by Marriott Sedona Los Abrigados Resort (Hotel Block link under Travel & Lodging) More high-end hotels, close to the Agave: Ambiente L'Auberge de Sedona Amara Resort The Cliffs at L'Auberge For those opting for an Airbnb or VRBO, we suggest choosing a property on Sedona’s west side (accessible from State Route 89A) for the best access to wedding activities and local attractions. Traffic along the 179 Highway can be very heavy on weekend afternoons in Sedona.
Both! Our gorgeous venue has both indoor and outdoor spaces, with indoor restrooms. The venue does have a private parking lot to accommodate guests, with about 80 spots total. There will be no change of venue, so you can plan to be at the Agave from start to finish.
Our ceremony will be "un-plugged" as we want to respect our photographer and make sure no one's arm/phones are blocking her shots or ringing over our vows. While we ask you to please silence and hide your phones then, we would love to see all the fun our guests have throughout the rest of the night!! Please share with us online and be sure to tag the bride.
The venue strictly requires all guests to be out of the space by 10 PM.
If you know Dylan and Darbi, you know we are big foodies! So our menu will not be restriction specific, but it will be very diverse in hopes everyone is able to enjoy.
We will be missing you! If you cannot make it for the wedding, please RSVP "no" so we are made aware. The sooner we know, the better we can plan ahead.
Please RSVP by no later than August 1, 2026. If you forget to RSVP before then, plan to bring a lawn chair and sandwich with you. JUST KIDDING! However, this helps us finalize all details with our wedding vendors and ensures everyone has a night to remember!
While we will be patiently awaiting seeing all our favorite people, we want to be as in the moment as we can on our wedding day. Please reach out to the Maid of Honor or Best Man if available, or to our Coordinator Casey Green for assistance or questions! Casey Green 602-448-8133
Oak Creek is best viewed at the West Fork Trailhead, but if you are feeling adventurous there are tons of access points to discover along Highway 89A! Swim, fish, or simply take in the views. The 15 mile drive itself is also considered to be one of America's most scenic routes due to the red rocks the area is famous for. This is Darbi's personal favorite Sedona thing to do.
Difficulty: Moderate; Length: 2.3m; Est: 51m - Halfway through the Fay Canyon Trail, you can veer off to see the Fay Canyon Arch. Continuing on the Fay Canyon Trail will bring you to a short climb to see the breathtaking canyon! (Also where Dylan proposed so maybe we are biased..) Enjoy!
Difficulty: Hard; Length: 1.2m: Est: 1h10m. One of Sedona's most popular hikes!!
Difficulty: Moderate; Length: 3.9m; Est: 1h40m **NOTE: This trail is extremely busy on Friday throughout the weekend. We recommend going on this hike early in the morning as the line to take pictures on the bridge can be long (up to 1 hour) and tends to be overcasted by the mountains later in the day.
Difficulty: Moderate; Length: 6.1m; Est: 2h36m
Difficulty: Moderate: Length: 4.5m; Est: 2h10m
A wonderful marketplace to walk through and see over 50 specialty shops and restaurants and exclusive art galleries. Its vine-covered stucco walls, cobblestoned walkways, and magnificent arched entryways give you the feeling that Tlaquepaque has been here for centuries!

What is a vortex and why do people seek these out? A vortex is described to be the natural intersections of electromagnetic earth energy. Believers say that the forces can be felt physically and spiritually and are even the cause for Sedona’s twisting desert floral.
Sedona is a popular destination for profound meditation and for spiritual pioneers seeking guidance and peace.
