Travel Note
If you’re travelling by train, Chelmsford Station is the closest — it’s about a 20‑minute taxi ride to the venue. Taxis are easy to book from the station or from the venue itself. If you’re driving, there’s free parking available on site. Directions are below: From Chelmsford (A12) From central Chelmsford (Parkway), take the A1060 towards Sawbridgeworth and Roxwell (Rainsford Road) for around 7 miles (10–15 minutes). After the sign for Margaret Roding, the road bends to the right — turn left here into Marks Hall Lane, signed The Reid Rooms. Continue for about 300 yards and you’ll see The Reid Rooms on the right. From the M11 (Junction 7) Take the A414/Harlow exit and follow signs to Ongar (approximately 5–7 miles). At the Four Wantz roundabout in Ongar, take the first exit signed Fyfield/B184. Continue for 5–6 miles. At the T‑junction with the A1060, turn right towards Leaden Roding & Chelmsford. At Leaden Roding, turn right at the mini roundabout towards Chelmsford. Margaret Roding is the next village. After two sharp bends, continue for about 300 yards and turn right into Marks Hall Lane, signed The Reid Rooms. The venue is on the right after 300 yards. From the M25 (Junction 27) Follow signs for the M11/Stansted and then continue using the directions above from Junction 7.
If the weather is kind to us, you’ll be whisked away to the meadow by tractor. We have two tractors running, and they’ll be departing at 5:15pm, so please arrive with plenty of time to hop aboard and enjoy the ride. There are no facilities in the meadow, so we recommend grabbing a drink and freshening up before you set off. We can’t wait to see you!

We’re keeping the day very small and intimate, so we’re only able to include the guests listed on the invitation.
Although they won’t be matching, our wedding party will each be wearing a white flower in their hair or buttonhole. They’ll be easy to spot, so feel free to ask them for directions or a hint about what lovely moment is coming up next in our celebration.
We’ll be having a kosher reception with both pescatarian and vegetarian options, followed by a fully vegetarian mezze for the starter, main, and dessert. During the seated meal, please feel free to help yourself to any of the dishes placed on the tables. If you have any dietary requirements that might not be covered by vegetarian food, just let us know in your RSVP and we’ll do our very best to accommodate.
The reception will wrap up at midnight, but we know some of you will have trains to catch or an early start the next day, so please feel completely free to head off whenever you need. We’re just so grateful you came to celebrate with us.
There’s parking available if you’d like to drive, and taxis can be ordered easily if you’d prefer not to. Chelmsford train station is about a 20‑minute taxi ride away if you’re heading home by train.
Our gift list is still a work in progress. We’re genuinely just delighted to have you celebrating with us, but if you would like to give a gift, we’d be grateful for contributions toward a future home or a lovely honeymoon. If you’d prefer to give something physical, we’ll be adding a few ideas to the website closer to the day.
We’ll be providing drinks for the reception and during the meal. After that, the bar will be open with drinks to buy — they take both cash and card, but the Wi‑Fi can be a bit temperamental, so it’s worth having some cash on hand just in case.
